Hey I'm trying to outline a story about a haunted carnival full of bimbo clowns, with the MC and his family getting clownified. I'm about 95% done, I feel I just need to come up with something to fill an empty space next to the arcade. My ideal clowngirl barely exists. Her costume has bright colors that complement each other rather than trying to fit the whole rainbow in. Her goal in being a clown isn't just to make people to laugh, but to make them smile in anyway she can. Rather than only playing the fool, or focusing only on comedy, she's friendly and carries an air of excitement as she presents both traditional clown gags as well as magic acts, juggling, acrobatics, song, and anything she can get the chance to learn. Anyone watching her can recognize the depth of her talent, and appreciate it's contrast with her masterfully rehearsed fumbles and pratfalls. She isn't wacky for the sake of being wacky, everything she does is to impress, endear, and amuse. Her getup and performance may have once embarrassed her, but through years of repetition, she only feels pride in her profession. She's done things that would've been unthinkable when she first started, but makes everything she does feel natural, even what would humiliate any normal woman. When she takes off her makeup, her cheerful demeanor stays, and she can make the most cloudy hearts clear and the most tense ease without depending on her tricks and the atmosphere of the circus. She's a deeply caring and considerate person in a way that's impossible not to be inspired by.A few images can capture a snapshot of what I want, but so often it feels like clowns are typecast and flanderized. I don't like clowns that are big afro'd exhibitionists, or who can't stop laughing at everything. It's not just a porn thing. I love what clowns could be, but the creepy, evil, and incompetent varieties are seemingly the only kind making it into media.Sorry if I rambled a bit too much, but I don't get to share these thoughts that much, and OP's image with those orange stripes and simple haircut got me thinking about it again. She looks like she's actually having fun, which is critical to a good clown.
