Slightly off-topic but this thread has me wondering about maybe making my own love doll (not robot).I know silicone ones are easily available but I imagine the silicone is hard to clean and repair and the texture would probably be off-putting if you tried to also cuddle with it. I haven't looked too much into this yet but I imagine a 5' ceramic doll would be a lot more prone to fracturing than a normal-sized ceramic doll due to the added stresses from the size (and fucking and cuddling it will add quite a lot more stresses), but most importantly ceramics aren't real cuddle-able. Maybe the head and limbs could be ceramic while the body is plush? That would avoid the ragdoll look on the most exposed parts while still giving it some cuddle-ability, and the cushioning body can absorb a lot of stress.Regardless, I think the main cause for the ragdoll look is just poor stitching and fabrics and a complete disregard for realistic anatomy (which can understandably be hard to do with the tendency for stuffing to round things out). There are animal plushies that can hold a more "realistic" shape quite well with minimal rounding, I remember having some as a kid, so it would just be a matter of finding out how to do that with human anatomy and proportions. I also intend for there to be a "skeleton" with joints in the plush to help it hold poses, which will hopefully get rid of the floppy-ragdoll look.
