planning on building a 4x3m or ~13x9ft tank to submerged myself into (I just like it ok)do I really need to dig it?what's the easiest and cheapest construction method should I use?brick and mortar can't be stong enough right?is rebar concrete an overkill?ferocement?>ib4 you'll floatI'll make a vest with lead sheet core don't worry
>>2819225Rebar concrete is probably best bang for your buck, brick/mortar would also work but the necessary thickness would probably make it cost inefficient. You could also make a steel structure and then fiberglass or whatever on the inside, even plywood would hold up provided a good steel structure.
>>2819228>steel structurelike mesh/sheet/beam?>fiberglass on the insideI was thinking about it, sounds like a good practice for boatbuilding
brick and mortar wouldn't work
>>2819225When I was, a young boy, my father, allowed me to dig a 6ft x 6ft x 6ft hole in the back yard. I lined it with plastic sheets and basically bankrupted him after filling it with house water. Then I filled a milk jug with ball bearings and would sink to the bottom and just chill.
>>2819241>were you using water hose too to breatheI tried but I was too deep and couldn't pull air through the hose.
>>2819245I could hold my breath for around 2 minutes. Then come up for air. Then go back down.
>>2819225How deep? And does it need to be 4x3m? Your body is 2x2x1m at mostIn my country we just make long piles of dirt and line them with some polymer sheeting to get a sun heated water basin. You dig about half the depth, the soil that comes out goes becomes the perimeter wall.
>>2819243after about 3 feet the water pushing on your chest is too heavy to inflate your lungs. If you wanted to overcome this, you could look into diving air pumps. I've worked maybe 10 feet underwater with an air supply, it's not very different from normal breathing. If you get a reserve tank you get plenty of time to get to the surface if the pump dies for whatever reason.https://www.amazon.com/Win-Outdoor-Compressor-Breathing-Respirator/dp/B07VLHSSFR

>>2819225>vest with lead sheet coreYou'll drown if you get tired with that on
>>2819317stack another one on top
>>2819317https://a.co/d/0eq3CHD9
>>2819276It's not meant to run continuously, the air isn't filtered, the flow rate isn't that high, and the scuba LP line typically operates at a higher pressure than car tires.
'salt water isolation tank'You're welcome.
just get the tall one and cut a big hole in the top
godspeed OP. i too like being underwaterso much so that i got a diving license lmao
>>2819225>to submerged myself into
>>2819317>>2819245>>2819276>>2819241why did you delete this mild shit you retarded janny
>>2821099thank you broI want to get that too but ocean/lake is quite far from my place
>>2819225
>>2819237>bankrupted him after filling it with house waterwhat does that mean
>>2822722In some areas, each property has a water meter and the owner receives a bill based on water usage. Kind of like electricity bill or gas bill.
>>28228596x6x6 is 1615 gallons, or about 100 flushes. Anon was exaggerating.
>>2822859yeah but water is supposed to be cheap af
>>2819225Go to a sensory deprivation tank instead.It's like $60-$80 a pop.
>>2822942'supposed to' and 'is' are two different things anon
>>2822942IT LITERALLY FALLS FROM THE SKY !
>>2819225You would probably need a permit.
>>2823136or comes from the ground you're probably just drinking distilled piss though which still has the estrogen from birth control women
>>2823170Sounds kinky!
>>2823150no I don'tno one will give a fuck here
>>2819225if you have to ask youre probably gonna die building it
>>2823124That's about 2 CCFs of water. Atlanta has some of the highest water and sewer rates in the country. Even there two CCFs of water will at most cost you $50. Anon's dad probably didn't even look at the water bill before being pissed that his kid dumped a bunch of water into a hole in the ground.
>>2823136not in some places though, there are these things called "deserts" where insane people live.
>>2825309disregard this anon, just think about it and figure it out OP, you will do it, it will work!>>2819225so here's one thing to think of, how do you get the water out again to stop it going stagnant/things living in it that aren't you.
>>2819225>Bro doesn't know how to get into water reservoirs Just to urbex and piss in the city's water supply like the rest of us.
>>2823170>there are trace amounts of a girl's pee in your tap waterOh noooo haha how horrible
>>2822860>1615 gallons, or about 100 flushes16 gallons per flush? Seriously?
>>2819236It's amazing how many people learn the hard way not to put horizontal force on brick.>>2820136This would probably be best. I would just be sure to have a rope ladder or two to help get out of it. OP should just be really careful to consider things like drowning, collapse, and how they're keeping the water brain amoeba free.
