My shower handle broke and I’m trying to put a replacement on, I’m pretty sure I need to remove this metal thing to put the replacement over but there’s no screws anywhere, how do I get it off?

Is there a small allen head set screw somewhere around the outside rim? Possibly on the bottom?

No there’s no screw or anything anywhere, I tried hand unscrewing the cold water handle and that worked fine so I think it’s just really stuck

there is anon, it might have a small cover over it you have to pry off, or unlikely you can try unscrewing it to see if it threads on
