Most useful app for my diy shit is actually the flashlight and camera.
I once put my phone in a ziplag bag, light on, recording video, and ran a dishwasher for a few minutes to diagnose a problem.

Phyphox. It displays data from various sensors: accelerometer, magnetometer, gyroscope, light, barometer, audio, proximity, GPS.
>>
>>2869527
thank you for this. I have been using a different app to pull sensor data for a single data point but this is so much better, and no fucking banner ads.

I usually work in metric 90% of my day but to talk to anyone I gotta do imperial and if I do any type of cowork, I use imperial.

I fucking hate imperial after using metric for 2 years.

You bastard. I’ve been playing with this goddamn thing for hours.

Been messing around with a few different apps for the bluetooth OBD2 scanners. There’s a bunch of basic ones, but I’ve been super impressed with this OBD JScan app, I wish this thing did more than just Chrysler vehicles. It’s like $20 per VIN or you can buy a pass if you want. This app combined with a $25 bluetooth dongle gives like $500+ bidirectional scan tool functions

Get FORScan for Ford vehicles.

Fuck off to Europe then.

I kept hearing about how great it was, but for some reason last time I was messing with a Ferd and that scanner, it didn’t work. Like either the iOS “Forscan Viewer” app maybe isn’t the whole thing and it’s only good on a different OS, or maybe it was the Veepeak OBD2 module because Ford uses some different protocol that doesn’t ageee with the module. And for everybody saying how great the Forscan app was, it had bad reviews in the iOS app store.

I gotta play around with it more. Maybe it got better since I last tried it.

I don't carry a phone. They're extremely retarded. Everything goes through cheogram to my email or linphone which I check on a laptop running linux.
>>
I got a launch scan tool for the shop. So far it has done everything i need it to do with the free updates and I'm sure i could pay for upgrades in the online store to get into the really specific shit if I absolutely needed it...
