Hello. One anon ask me on /r9k/ to post here my work.
I use 2mm galvanized steel. 2 pipes found at home and everything you can see (or not see, my camera is very weak) in the photos. If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them.

Looks good Anon.
>>
That's really cool! What's your end goal? How much do you want to make?
>>
>>2869885
Thank you. It's kind of you.

For now I want to make whole hauberk and I am thinking about gloves. But probably I won't stop after that. I want also to try work with plate armor and wood (making other things outside armors).

Using wire, would these rings hold up to an actual blow from a mace or something?

my wife does chainmail and is currently making me a haubergeon.
>>
>>2869936
fuck no.
This is all ornamental and to make it battle ready would require slot more equipment, modern day, spot welding and heat treating, back then? Months if not years of closing loops and heat treating.

Awesome, keep us updated!

Neat

Checked, your wife does nice work. Does she do it for fun, profit or both?
>>

Purely sexual reasons

Please tell me she has made a chainmail bikini..
>>
She does good work and could probably sell that for exorbitant prices at a RenFair is what I'm getting at. Just doing some basic bitch research online, I don't know if I'd take the time unless it was for someone special. Doesn't matter; whoever made >>2869944 did a good job.
>>
>>2870390
this is the most important post in the thread.
>>2869871
Answer the man OP.

Was she always this awesome, or did she just get bored with crocheting mittens and you quietly steered her into this?
