Anyone ever fix one of these? My first one quit working after a short period of light use. Bought another one and this thing gave out after hardly using it at all. The amount of flame it put out slowly got smaller and smaller even though the tank is full, and now it won't light at all even switched all the way on.

Piezo can be replaced and maybe the wire endpoint can be adjusted to make the spark work better. No idea what would be causing the gas to not pass, take it apart and see what's in there.

I wonder if there’s a little regulator in there. I had an issue like that on a grill where it was a perma-small flame, and I was reading that as a safety precaution, the regulators cut the gas super low if you try to ignite the thing without full pressure coming from the tank. So like if you have a leak anywhere between the tank and regulator, the regulator never opens up right and only allows a super low flame. In my specific case, I think it was because I tried to open the tank while a burner was turned on. So I just had to close all the burners, open the valve on a >1/2 full propane tank all the way, then let everything pressurize real good for like 30sec, then I could open the burner and ignite and get good flame.

Might not be a regulator though, so maybe you wasted your time reading all that.

I've torn them apart and gotten them working again. The ones I messed with just had a tiny orifice that let the propane into the burner tube. They usually draw air into the tube right after the orifice. Make sure your tip is clean. I upgraded just about every torch I have to the bernzomatic ts4000. They're way more rugged than anything else I have ever seen.

They're pretty cheap on aliexpress. Buy a new and much better one.

Get a better model like the DURACAST 8000. The one you show is cheap junk.

I honestly prefer the ts4000 over the ts8000. The flame adjustment knob is just one more thing to break. I have a torch behind the seat of one pickup and in my side toolbox under the flatbed on another and of course one at each shop. They get used and abused and the ts4000 just plain werks.
