how can i make a 3d printer turn itself off after it finishes a print after like 5 minutes?
>>2872352Maybe some thing that detects the bed temp drop, when it finishes, and it will switch a relay that the power supply is connect to. Does the bed move? Or a switch gets pressed when the bed lowers back down
>>2872352I know there are some youtubers who are very professional in using 3d printers, check them out on youtube
>>2872352There's an entire general about this you retarded frogposter
>>2872352How about a motion sensor connected to a power outlet?
chatgpt suggested a timer plug. its not an ekegant solution but i guess thatd work.
octoprint with auto shutoff plugin (or whatever its called) and a relay
>>2872352rig up an n/c switch to wall power so the table mechanically triggers it when it parks in the print done forward position. set a program dwell before the tabe goes to that spot if you want a delay
>>2872495There are cheap thermostatic plugs with sensors on a wire. Got mine for $15 on Amazon or something. Just needs to tape the sensor thing close to the print head
>>2872686i mean the timer plug works, i didnt know those were a thing. the slicer rarely gets the print time wrong i think. just give leeway for an hour clise nuff.its jjst that im planning to print a print with 100% infill and thats going to take like 21 hours. hope nothibg goes wrong.
