My HD work truck destroyed my driveway. How would a DIY pro fix this?
>>2872802>How would /DIY/ fix this?Ignore it.
>>2872802Are you going to put that truck there again because the repair would probably be weaker than the original
I plan on selling or renting out this house so will need to repair it fairly nice, this is only a 2 and a half year old house, i was wanting to put papers on the side to widen the driveway to compensate for the space the dually takes up and maybe these pads or something similar
>>2872802>How would a DIY pro fix this?its concrete, not rocket appliancessaw cut out busted shit way past bad spotpack better base layer of graveldowel rebar into existing slabform with a deeper footer to reinforce the outside edgeprobably just get a cart-away of concrete and hand screed it with a 2xthe entire slab is likely going to fail the same way because it looks like the low bid mexcrements that poured it jewed you out of any base prep and a slab is only as good as its base
>>2872802Take out the pieces, remember the pattern, level it with some dirt. Get an angle grinder and make a crevice in the broken pieces and driveway, then use quikcrete to put them back together. Pretty simple.
>>2872802Cut the whole 1’ side off with a concrete saw and plant grass there.
>>2872802remove broken pieces, recast, do a good finishing job.
>>2872802What kind of bullshit concrete job was done before that you can't even drive a vehicle on it? How thick is it? Like 3"?
>>2872934The way it's edged around, it looks like some of the soil could've either washed out from under the slab or just got wet and soft. IDK who put a gap around the bottom of it, but they were dumb as hell
/diy/ pros have bigger problems than the aesthetics of whats under the tires of their work vehicles.Quickrete if you want, youll always be able to tell.Care less. Its a driveway.
>>2872802>HD work truck>how i fix guize? What fucking work do you do?
>>2872802People just clear the area, compact the shitty dirt then lay down form guides and pour...Its not until this happens does anyone give a toss. Now, everyone will know you did a shit job, it broke off and you repoured a section..sucked in, enjoy the snickering!!When you repour, 1st drill holes into the side of the existing slab and bash in some rebar to bond with the new concrete and stop it from cracking off again when your poorly compacted shitty dirt base resettle shifts again to bring you back to this same half-arse eyesore.
>2.5yr old house>plan on selling or rentingmaybe you shouldnt have cheaped out on the rebar, you filthy flipper
>>2872849Oooh so you can sell it broken but pretty to the next owner, or blame the renters when it breaks again. Smart. Very American.
>>2873038> hia work is not even 720p
>>2873038He doesn't do work with the truck. He bought it because he liked being sold the idea of doing work with the truck.
This is lennar homes, and heavy equipment tech.Appericate the good tips
>>2872802>2.5yr old house>plan on selling or rentingArsehole flippers like you is why hardworking families purchase money-pits.
