I am trying to plug a leak in an aluminum pipe in my ice cream maker. I tried soldering it(see pic), but I suspect my skills/tools are not good enough to properly solder it.I am considering using an epoxy to fill the hole. Do you have a good suggestion for an epoxy?(needs to be available in Europe). Or maybe some other way to plug the hole?Right now I am considering using Loctite Power Epoxy Metal.
Can you circle the exact problem area?
>>2873155This is the problem. There is a small hole and a bit of corrosion around it. As you can see there is a shitty solder blob on top of it.
>>2873239that shit looks cold, u gotta get that alu to 300c + u need flux. this gonna be in the food stream? gets more complicated if it is but doable.
>>2873451>food streamI know. But mu soldering iron is too crappy and my skills are too bad to get a proper solder. This is just on the cooling pipes, so not in contact with food.
>>2873451>u gotta get that alu to 300cdon't these appliances have propane refrigerant?
>>2873675Yes.
