I do not want to use my home system very much this winter, so I want suggestions for good oil radiators. Is there a good alternative to just getting one from home depot? What are the benefits of getting one in a higher price point? If I purchase one from a box store is it gonna be like other appliances- shittier than if I just bought it direct from the manufacturer? Willing to buy 200-300 dollar Jap shit if the difference is huge and it will last longer/be safer/ more efficient
>>2873285these things suck at everything
>>2873285And why exactly are you against using your home system? Those rads are stupidly expensive to run.
>>2873285You’ll want one with an actual timer-thermostat instead of a wattage setting or you’ll be adjusting it all the time. Or a thermostat socket plug with a long wire. >>2873293We have times that electrical heating is cheaper than running natural gas. Maybe OP has a gas tank or something which makes it even more expensive
>>2873293damn you guys are faggots.
>>2873285I managed to get through a winter by using one like in your pic.I built a shitty stool that would go over it, put it in front of my pc and bundled it all, myself, chair and radiator in a big blanket.Radiator on lowest setting, it turned on for about 5 min every half an hour or so and it was absolutely toasty underneath the setup. Ultra cozy and decently efficient, given temp inside house was about 10C if I had to guess.
