I painted my violin case with ordinary black spray paint because it was turd brown and didn't like it.
It turned out well but the plastic ribbons all around the borders became sticky and stainy, staying like that forever no matter what I apply to them.
Help is apreciated and picture is for reference.

You need to use a plastic primer for the plastic parts, you're probably screwed at this point unless you can scrub it off.

Maybe you could paint some kind of clear coat over the problem areas with a fine brush. Something that will dry and not be sticky.

Although to be honest this sounds like a pretty nigrigged project on what's almost certainly a cheap as shit case in the first place. Maybe you could just order a new one in black from aliexpress or something.

I just finally threw it in the trash.
