>Sunglasses at nightbad idea>Windshield tintillegal in my stateI need a creative solution. I heard this board was big brained.
>>2876855You could hit their car with your car
>>2876855Why is this shit even legal
>>2876855Ask on /o/. An anon there knows the brand name of the retro-reflective marine tape and he put it on the back of the rear seat head rests and on opposite side of the sun visor. "give them the tape" he said, but I've not heard if he succeeded.
>>2876855you could die in a fire.
>>2876881Huh that's clever...
I got red sunglasses, they cut down on the piercing-ness of the blue and white headlights, but don't seem to diminish the brightness that much.I've decided to actively fight back by installing a lightbar on my dashboard. if I can get it to workonly problem is amazon has repeatedly delayed the shipping of the lightbar I ordered and I'm not sure if it's ever going to arrive. also I have a million other projects so who knows when I'll get around to it, my weekend are already booked.>>2876881solas tape. doesn't actually reflect enough light to be enough of a nuisance. the problem is in its retroreflectivity, which that anon claims makes it effective, but actually means the light is being reflected back to the headlight and not the driver.
>>2876870the nipmobile jap traps are the worst offenders. toyotas have the most horrible lights of any make and cunts driving subarus feel the need to leave their highs on full time
>>2876855try some of those glasses that block blue light or any yellow/orange tinted glasses
rig up a large mirror to pop up and block the back window when you press a switch
>>2876855blind them with a chinkshit laser or flashlight
>>2876855get a taller car and more loomens
>>2876855It's fucking insane my man, driving down a two-lane highway at night has become a suicidal exercise. When exactly did they decide that low beams should be what high beams used to be, and high beams should be like aircraft landing lights
>>2877012>but actually means the light is being reflected back to the headlight and not the driver.i reckon it would work because you can see retroreflective signs and shit glowing in your headlights.
>>2877178I was blinded last night by a bunch of cars going the other way, could barely see the road 20 feet ahead of me.About 50% of the cars have basically high-beams, this bright blue-white opposing car blinders.A bunch of other cars had (what now look like) yellow incandescents as I do.I also see a bunch of people with mod kits that are very clearly operating at 20 or 30 Hz. It looks stupid. We got a cold snap, and a bunch of rice burners had one or both headlights out, sometimes they would flash a bit trying to start. Cheap chinese mod kit.
>>2877267>>2877178Where I live it's lifted brodozers with aftermarket collapsed sun spec bulbs and they never adjusted them down when they put the lift kit in.
>>2877012>>2877265I'm not convinced the narrow angle of reflection of SOLAS tape is an issue, the new headlights are blinding mostly at distance, they become less blinding within 50M or so due to cutoff angles or whatever. However there are several grades of tape with wider reflection angles you could also choose from, they just don't reflect as much light (SOLAS reflects >95% to the source which is probably excessive anyway).
>>2877175Your own vehicle height is irrelevant, because every time the oncoming vehicle is on a slope or hits a bump in the road the sharp LED cutoffs sweep across your eyeballs. The cutoff seems wider on the sides too, I notice turning vehicles blind me then aren't as bad once straightened out. It's so bad that I don't even like walking around a busy road at night anymore.
>>2876855Duct tape a surefire to your trunk
>>2876855>>Sunglasses at night>bad ideaNot if you need to keep track of visions in your eyes
>>2876855Hit them with high lights
I just went with the flow of things and swapped my stuff over to led headlights as well. At least I know I'm blinding everyone else as much as they are blinding me...
clean the inside of your windshield
>>2876855depends on what you are willing to put up with, you could get some glasses/safety glasses, and get some tint on the bottom, and when the car comes by tilt your head back and look through the tinted section, the road being a bit darker but not blinded is better than blinded for 10-20 seconds after they pass. you may be able to do something with polarization, personally what I would LOVE to do is get a second rearview mirror for night, and get some either ir or light amplification night vision and attach it to the top of the car, link its output to the review mirror/screen, and whenever someone comes by with blinding lights, look over to it, since its at a higher vantage point, the absolute worst it could do is blow out the image a bit but still be very visible, while not needing to stare down the jackass that didn't turn his high beams off.
>>2876855Buy glasses with a yellow tint. they mellow out harsh blue headlight
>>2876855i have the fastest easiest best solution of them all , dont go out after dark and you wont have this problem , there your problem has been fixed ,
