European "plumbing"

how else are you supposed to rinse the crusted feces off of your sandaled feet?

I bet that waste basket is full of dirty asswipe toilet paper because they haven't invented plumbing systems that can handle tissue paper yet LOL!!!

That's how commercial kitchen sinks are done in the US; it minimizes clogs from solid food waste in high volume prep/ cleanup situations and allows fishing that stuff out without having to open a trap...but more importantly it creates an air gap to prevent raw sewage backups or just bacteria in typical p-trap water from getting into sink basins and coming into contact with food and dishes/utensils being cleaned/prepped there.

It's a legitimate setup for that purpose but makes no sense in a residential bathroom setting where humidity is already a problem without open drain lines.

in the shower? Why can't they run pipes from the sink through the wall? Are they that lazy?

Don't forget the water level to wash your dick in your shit water
>>

Americans do not appreciate the smell of feces so the high water level ensures that it gets immediately submerged.

Ive never had this issue, my poops are always submerged and my water level is standard. I have had the pleasure of dipping my dick in some toilet water at an American establishment during my visit. Do you really think the poop being exposed to air for a fraction of a second longer has any meaningful difference? Maybe you should submerge your anus in the toilet water. How convenient, itll also wash it since you guys hate bidets and hand showerheads. Fucking poopy butts.

>hand shower heads
Are actually making a major comeback in the US. Most are mounted in the traditional overhead shower position and can just be slipped out for optimal anus cleaning. Others are separate from the shower head and are activated with a button similar to a handheld bidet

Kek if it works it works.

If that's a problem then it's a poor plumbing job and should be replaced. Every clog I had was in the toilet itself after I filled it to the brim with toilet paper.
Now I wash my ass with soap and warm water instead mashallah.

They do this and then have the gall to call anyone else poor. Disgusting.

>Why didn't he turn off the valve like half an hour ago?
There is no valve.

That being said, is it against code to have a shut off valve on your outgoing sewer line? Would be extremely helpful in cases like that where shit is backflowing... Could be an underground ball valve with a tube running down to it and cap on top so you cold shut it off with a long valve wrench in an emergency.

I don't think there are manually actuated valves for sewer lines, but they do make check valves for them. It's basically a little flapper inside that seals when there's back pressure for situations like this where the sewer is overflowing. Seems like cheap insurance if you live in a place prone to flooding.

Seems like a check valve would be more prone to causing a plug than your standard full flow 1/4 turn ball valve... But it "should" operate automatically which would be a plus.
