My new apartment has this sliding closet door that is big, made of wood, and apparently it's on wheel/rails. Issue is, it does a shit ton of noise when I open it. Like a train, literally.What can I do to make it less noisy? I don't think WD40 would work, and also it might destroy the paint. Maybe some type of grease? Even then I don't think it would work because the issue isn't like a squeaky sound but rather the weight of the door and small wheels moving
clean it and then use some teflon lube or something
If you want to fix this take the door out, pull the wheel out and replace the bearing. We know you won't but that's the fix

>>2879431Tracks could be chewed up, as well as the wheels and bearings. While you're cleaning the tracks, see if any of them have been smashed/chewed/dented. I had this on an old patio door with spectacularly heavy solid glass doors.

>>2879617lift (one hand on each edge width wise) and tilt slightly, move the bottom of the door out and away, lower to floor. you should be able to see up into the gap above for which way the door should be tilted (in or out) if you're lucky there will be no upper track to worry about. check the bottom of the door for adjustment screws
