>buy this fucker because i fucking hate gaymer chairs and office chairs with their squeaky bullshit hydraulic anal mines
>feels great but after 10 years the fake leather is peeling off everywhere
where to get some decent material to reupholster this bitch?
>>

Buy the sheets of leather/fabric and go to town, but it'll probably cost more than the chair is worth and it'll look like shit because upholstery is not that easy.

They make a million office chair covers on amazon. So unless you frequent the sewing thread, would probably be cheaper to buy one.

I bought an expensive leather chair from a reputable furniture store for the living room. A few years later, the covering came apart. Not leather.

We got a bunch of cheap office chairs where I work. When they came in the boxes flatly declared that they were “Leather” — LOL, they’re straight up lying.

I don’t know where all the leather is going, it’s a byproduct of the beef industry.

Friendly reminder that "genuine" leather is a grade of leather, and the shittiest one. Never buy anything "leather" that isn't labeled "full grain".

Rich people products? When I had a business meeting at Arthur Blank's house, his study had leather floor tiles. Given how much wear and tear there must be on flooring, I'm going to guess that was full grain and not this ultra-thin crap they basically spray in cheap furniture.

this nigger doesn't know anything about leather grades lmao

this guy gets it
but top grain leather and suede are also nice
everything else is trash

Amazon or Ebay search marine vinyl, usually more robust than the "automotive" stuff which can vary in quality.

Yeah, depending on what the item is, those are fine or even preferred, but I always laugh when I see people bitch about "buying real leather" and it falling apart after 6 months, and it's shitty genuine leather lmao.

Are you talking about the castle? That place is unreal. When I was there, they had leather wallpaper.

No, it isn't.
No matter if chrome tanned or veg tanned, leather still takes a while to go from "dead cows' skin" to wonderfully nice material.
It takes time to process and there are less and less tanneries all around the world.
