This is something simple but confusing.
I want a full extending arm for a tv, so it is extending a large way out.

The TV needs to go onto a wooden wall, and I have horizontal planks behind and will not be able to use them as anchors. Relying on the strength of the upright wood.

How do I know if it will hold. Even if I bolt all the holes in the black bracket will it distribute it enough.

What are my other options
1. Put a larger piece of board up with many screws into the wall > mount bracket onto that
2. Use specific Wall plugs that extend behind the wood?

imagine having that beautiful living room, making a shrine to jewish lies as its focus, and then worshiping before it on a regular basis.
go for a walk in the woods, you queer. be one with nature. commune with the spirit and ask for the strength you need to overcome vile jew sorcery.

this doesn't make any sense.
normally a stud wall is vertical timbers. your picture shows horizontal cladding (yes i'm calling it cladding.)
if you are screwing into vertical studs you are fine. if yo uare screwing into horizontal cladding like your pic then it depends on the tv.
if you are using a swivel adjustable mount then you are fucked.

the point of an extra board in between is that the board must mount to the studs. if you can do that then ok.
there is no point using special plugs because the cladding itself (probably) won't support the weight of a heavy tv on a swivel mount it will pull the wood off the wall.
sometimes you can find a tv mount for amuch larger tv which spans longer horizontally and can reach two studs to mount. which is the same idea as the board but less fucking around

It isn't a picture of my cabin it's for reference.

I guess I'm going to have to find a board that goes vertically.
However to counter that thought. If my cladding boards are screwed to the horizontal studs. Isn't that just the same as a board?

You couldn't be gayer if you sucked off 50 sailors all in a row.

when the expert in gay talks, people listen.

The cladding is thinner so it won't be as sound. Unless it's a small TV, you should mount it on the vertical studs

someone redpill me on how jews made the anime

you need to find the studs behind the tongue and groove panels, use a really strong magnet or take off a faceplate from an outlet and measure off of that stud

I refused to put one in my cozy living room.
If you must you need to find the vertical studs. I'm assuming a stud finder won't work there. When I had a similar issue I went in the attic and measured where the studs where and then used that in the lower room. You could try something like that.
Beware mine were all slightly different distances apart. So it's risky to just calculate off the first one.
If all else fails just guess and check by drilling holes in the wall. That'll still trash it less than hanging the black mirror.

Can you use a stud finder on wooden slats for OP?

kek….
I kept looking for one of those candle sets or that double triangle star, and then I realized you were talking about the TV!

Not OP, but I haven’t had cable in over a decade, I mostly play video games on mine.
