Is brick laying hard? I was thinking of building a parcel box to put in front of my house, would be cool if it was bricks.
>>
yes it is
>>
no it isn't
>>
related question: can you cut bricks out of a brick wall and re-use them?
>>

It's annoying and if your starting line isn't perfectly level everything will fuck up
The nice thing about mortar is it can only ever be the proper 1/8" thick, and if you get pre mixed bags from menards, more than an 1/8" won't hold the weight of a brick so it's kind of self leveling
Honestly a little mail cubby is a pretty perfect project to get wrong until it's right

not worth the hassle unless you are dead set on color matching

Thanks, sounds like I got me a project.

Easy to learn with patience and a good mentor
Difficult to master without time and dedication
Like many things worthwhile.
