Hey all, just curious, what's the best way to make a blanket? Like a good sized one, 30x70 ish. Should I knit it? Make a loom? What's the best way to go about doing it? Does anyone have experience with textile stuff like this and can give advice?

Thanks

Knitting is a worthwhile hobby but it takes a bit of time to get it done
You could try knitting a quilt as you can learn various stitches with each square and end up with the blanket you want. Keep at it and you might have it for end of year when it's cold again

before you decide to weave you must spin the thread

Quilting from scraps can be pretty fun and it’s cheap. $20 old sewing machine will do it fine

Check out crochet. It needs more yarn than two needles knitting for the same surface, so the fabric will be thicker. And you'll not be constrained by the cable length, or the size of a loom. Also, keep in mind the material, plastic does not keep you warm like wool.

Loom will give you a tighter weave
Knitting/crocheting can be a more interesting hobby then running a loom
Quilting with scraps will be the easiest and pretty fun, but quality and aesthetics are going to be dependent on your scraps
