you know what thats fine. ill use the soldering iron to remove it if it comes down to it. i dont want to get a desoldering hot air just for this.

looks like that wont be necessary. im erasing the bios with the gator clips as we speak. if it works ill make a video titled how to get rid if a bootkit. if it doesnt well guess ill have to buy a new motherboard.

sounds like the only problem you're having is with the hard disk partitioning
you cant seem to delete all the partitions, to have just one raw empty hard disk
if so, you can boot from some rescue disk, like Hirens Boot CD (in CD or USB form), and format the drive clean

it should have let me format them from the windows installation media and i did format them with diskpart before. Its pretty clear the bios is pozzed.

Can you download the latest image of your bios and load it through the bios page to see if it affects the problem of formatting the drive before going balls deep desoldering the ic to wipe the bootkit?

Why would the bootkit prevent you from formatting a drive? Why would the hacker make it so you cant install windows?
Wouldnt they prefer to use the bootkit the poz the operating system for a persistant botnet?
