Spent the day fucking with trying to get kohya hires to work without constant body horrors, I dunno if it doesn't like cfg++ / low cfg stuff but when I got a gen I liked the details but it was like 7/10 were just failgens completely. Then somehow got raunet to work with controlling negatives but it feels almost overly sharp with some loras.

which base model you use is a matter of personal taste imo. seems silly to argue about it. I drew up a comparison to give newbies an idea of what they want.pic related is illustrious vs pony: same prompt, same gen parameters, same seeds. as you can see, pony has more of a "zany", cartoony style (probably because it was trained on a lot of western illustrations as well as anime).i use both depending on what i want. if i was posting in /aco/ i'd probably go with pony, for example.btw these are raw gens without any upscaling, inpainting or image editing. inpaint can usually fix most small errors, like extra fingers
