The Passover would have drawn crowds to Jerusalem all the way to the outskirt cities such as Bethlehem and denied Mary and Joseph a place at the inn.The Passover works best for the birth of Jesus because 1. He died on the Passover and tradition says he died on his birthday. 2. The crowds. 3.
