Should I cop? Been waiting for a chocolate brown colorway on the gel nyc or NB 1906(ideally protection pack but I doubt they'll release them again). I'd have rather preferred it be more monochrome so I'm hesitating.

I'm going to try and get those and the Black Cement 3's. There isn't anything else that interests me this year.

What are the most durable sneakers for under 500 bucks? Would I have to spend boot money to actually find a pair of durable sneakers (like closer to a grand or more)?

more versatile but a bit more boring. blue suede shoes stand out more but are a clearly more specialized piece and won't work with everything so make sure you actually have the wardrobe for it. i would go with the cream ones but i already have several pairs of shoes in or close to that shade.
>>
>>18269468
I gave in and consoomed. These are the last shoes I'll buy for some time.

How old you do you think is too old to be wearing sneakers before it gives off "funko pop manchild" vibes?
Of course every man should own a pair of trainers I mean as your day to day shoes.
For me it started feeling really gay and man baby to wear sneakers after around 25-30.

look for something with a resolable margom cupsole, a full leather midsole and a full grain leather upper. if it lacks the midsole you can sometimes rebuild it down the road during one of the resoles to have one. anything with a foam midsole has a low lifespan.
they start at like 200 and go on up to over 1000 you're really just paying for design they all cap out on qual at like 200-300. i used to get them from brands like yohji yamamoto mainline and hender scheme. common projects shit like that. those kinds of brands. i typically expect like 5-10 years from ones i can't find soles to re-sole them with and about 15-30 on ones i can. assuming you take good care of the upper. some last longer than others i have some pretty old full leather cupsole sneakers consistently in regular rotation from 15yrs ago.
occasionally sneaker brands do collabs or special editions that are around the same qual level.

I don't really want to pay $465 just to wait 3 months for them to ship and then have them fall apart in a year like any $100 shoe anyways. So now I'm just trying to find something that looks similar.
>>
>>18277241
bro just get a pair of derbies/loafers/mocs. i have a bunch of these """minimal sneakers""" and the only slightly wearable ones are full black and some brown ones. and you still feel like a dork in them.
>>
>>18276980
i wish they would reissue their mexico 66 equivalent
>>
>>18277272
>derbies/loafers/mocs.
these all feel very overly formal though, plus I hate slip-ons. I'm looking for something I can wear everyday with jeans. At first I was just looking for anything that didn't look like some alien spaceships and also didn't have huge ass logos all over the shoes (like adidas, nike, vans, etc all have huge branding) and overall it seems like leather sneakers seem to fit the bill the most. I particularly liked those brown ones because of the color and texture, but otherwise I've been looking for black ones (either all black or black upper/white sole).
>>
>>18277274
I was thinking why I like these more than sl72s.
>>
>>18276620
Are those good sneakers? The boots have been criticized for being cheaply made, i.e. fake leather heel stacks.
>>
>>18269468
how does anyone wear this without getting their ass kicked?
>>
are retro new balances still in vogue?
>>
What are some effay sneakers that work with 90% of outfits
>>
>>18277407
Depends on the model. Feel like the 99x or 990 series aren't as hot as they once were, but with mesh Y2K sneakers being all the rage the 1906 and 740 are pretty popular as well as the NB1000 in a different way.
>>18277433
Stan Smiths, Chuck Taylors, AF1s, Penny Loafers, Sambas if they weren't so hype
>>
>>18277499
yeah I just wanted basics like the 515 or 574
>>
>>18277322
they would look cool with fatigues or something.

>>18277515
574/6 doesn't need to be in vogue its just a good shoe.

>>18277289
none of those are remotely formal they're all super casual shoes. some can be on the dressier side but you can find really casual examples of any and by default mocs are uber casual.
minimalist sneakers run into formality issues where they're weird to wear with casual outfits but they're sneakers so its a joke to wear them with anything more than business casual. i really only feel like they work for the "smart casual" business casual look which in general i don't like maybe you do.
>>
>>18277289
if you do get some though brown & black with white sole are the best. all black third best. you can make them work in the right casual fits but they won't go with everything. all white does but its super super played out.
>>
>>18273490
Get the navy ones. They look way better than either and are much more versatile.
>>
>>18277229

What about bottoms?
>>
>>18275007
>>18269468
Welp it looks bad irl. Too many clashing browns and those white striped do ruin it.seems very comfy though. Sending them back.
>>
>>18276999
Because retarded consoooomers like it. They use these brand names to signal wealth to other poorfags who are also living beyond their means. Brands themselves like to do it in order to differentiate themselves from their competitors and market their brand name as much as possible.

So if you wear products with visible branding on them, you're not only advertising their brand for free but even paid them to do it by buying their product. Meanwhile, celebrities (like sportsmen) with sponsorship deals receive the products for free AND get paid by the company to advertise their logos and peddle their wares to the masses.

No shoe lasts if it's worn daily. The only difference with a sub 100$ sneaker and a sub 200$ is that the former lasts for max a year and the latter max 2 years. Buy two pairs and alternate and they'll last longer.
>>
>>18283004
Here's the thing: I had a pair of vans tgat lasted me about eight years. Same with another pair of new balances.
The last pair of vans I bought are falling apart after two years and I only wear them in the summer. The last pair of Nikes I bought fell apart after six months.
I might get another pair of nb 574 and hope for the best.

Those people are retarded. Don't listen to them. If anything it looks too small for your foot. Your little toe should be at the widest part of the shoe, while leaving at least an inch of wiggle room in the front. Most shoes aren't designed according to the natural shape of human feet. They instead want you to contort and crush your foot into the unnatural shape of the shoe. Fuck that.

I've recently become fixated on these Common Projects Track 80 in all black from a 2023 collection but unfortunately they're nowhere to be found online anymore. Does anyone perhaps know of any other sneaker that looks similar enough to it? Similar silhouette, materials and all?

Thanks

Don't go straight to barefoot shoes, because it will cause injuries due to the sudden transition to something your feet are not used to. Start by going barefoot at home as much as possible, so that your feet can gradually spread out into their natural shape after being crushed in regular shoes for years. But you don't need to get barefoot shoes either. You can get wide toed sneakers and boots these days if you look around. Try them out before going straight to barefoot shoes.

anything full or top grain leather, full leather and leather lined with a leather midsole and a resolable cupsole. sneakers like that start around $300 though. most stuff that's less uses plastic covered leather that doesn't last.
whatever common projects clone is good right now should do you fine. if you want to avoid millenial cringe just get black leather with white sole.

>babby just discovered high end sneakers
lol the profit margin is actually a lot lower on those than on nike's and adidas.
nobody buys common projects at full price.
and the retail price was lower when they were popular with millenials.
also the conventional advice on /fa/ and every other fashion forum was never buy them at full price, every month or two some stockist would have them 30% off.
also there's a bunch of brands in italy making basically the same thing as achilles low out of the same leather from the same tannery without the name recognition for a lot less.

>>18297563
>it’s just a pair of white sneakers
pretty much all white sneakers that are under $200 can hardly be considered made of "leather"
they take what's called "splits" leather where its basically sawdust from the floor then they spray it in vinyl plastic.
that's why the types of sneakers you're used to look bad when they crease its plastic not leather.
real leather sneakers look good when they crease, and if cared for good leather will last you about a decade instead of a year or two and you don't have to baby them. unlike the chinsey plastic kiddy stuff nike sells.
also the sole is sewn on instead of glued and can be replaced by a cobbler. the cupsole it uses is generic and easy to find replacements for.
once you know common projects and high end designer leather sneakers exist you start seeing everything discussed in this thread as little kid shoes & a rip off for suckers and little boys who don't know any better.
its a shame common projects are dorkshoes looking and most good looking real leather sneakers don't use generic soles making them less cost effective.
eventually you grow up and buy a pair of derbies.

>how to style
>the two most generic to style colorways of the easiest to style sneaker that has ever been made

ok so these >>18296013 came in today and they're pretty comfy and look kind of nice but i'm not sure i i'll keep them because they really dont go well with all that many things
so this got me thinking:
what kind of sneakers would you consider essential?
my list is like
>white sneakers
>slim flat sole trainers
>running shoes?
so i might just keep them and get a new pair of white sneakers
suggestions? might just go for another pair of c85s
>>
>>18299199
depends on your age. over 30-35 the only sneakers that are essential is a pair of trainers and any specialized footwear required for sports you play. there really aren't any other sneakers that belong in an adult's wardrobe other than maybe a pair of canvas tennis shoes. you should be moved on from sneakers to shoes by that age.
under 30 you always want to have one neutral color pair of daily beaters that goes with everything and you want to have a pair of sneakers that keeps rain out and one that breathes at minimum.

>white sneakers
mm gats on sale > beckett simonon gats > common projects clone type sneakers > premium/luxe stan smiths > other
simply because real leather > vinyl fake leather and most white leather sneakers that are cheaper aren't real leather. they crease good instead of bad and they stay looking nice significantly longer. some on that list can even be resoled. if you are just gonna deal with vinyl fake leather, yeah c85s are good choice.
gazelles are great shoes for lifting in if you squat or lift heavy shit.
>>
>>18297451
if you find that a sneaker other people say is comfortable isn't for you, you might have inward or outward bent feet. shoes with a neutral last shape or a last shape bending the same direction as your foot would be comfortable but shoes bending the opposite direction would be very uncomfortable on foot.

here's a video guide on checking if your foot's compatible with the shape of a sneaker before buying just using online product photos and a trace of your foot. it also tells you if/when you need to size up or down for width or if a sneaker is simply too wide/narrow for you. you can even tell where your foot will rub and hot spot on the shoe before ever putting it on.

hey anons, so I want to get myself some sort of nice slippers to replace my old crocs. I don't like being barefoot, but there's no reason to be sweating in my sneakers all day if I'm just chilling in my house. Honestly I'd just be in my socks but I don't want my socks piling and picking up all sorts of dust and stuff from the floor. Are crocs just the best option for this? I like that they're airy so I don't sweat in them, but they're literally just cheap rubber... I wanted to see if there's any nicer options. All of the stuff I see by looking up "house slippers" are like cozy warm fluffy ones that are probably gonna make me sweat more than my sneakers.

A store from my country is selling them and they're kinda cheap (29 usd). I'm kinda tempted to buy them but I don't know if they're legit. Are these a thing in your country too or is the store just slapping the brand logo in them.

Way of Wade All City 12 Orange on clearance.

I'd buy them for outdoor basketball but I'm not a consumerist whore like the rest of you are. I'm just posting because I think they're stylish.

>discipline and dressing properly to work is tryhard larp
This is what happens when your culture gets negrified. And then you wonder why nobody wants to work and why the quality of everything is shit now.

Also, those aren't "dress sneakers". There is no such thing. Those are just simple, minimalist, non-nigger sneakers. And they don't belong in corporate workplace either. Sneakers are for people who do a lot of walking and exercise. A finance office drone who sits around on his ass all day and commutes in a car, doesn't need sneakers. Those people in your office do it simply because modern culture is thoroughly negrified where order and discipline is seen as "oppressive" and "white supremacist". They think they're doing something rebellious by behaving like anarchic negros, which is childish, feminine and low IQ thought process.

I'd honestly buy this, but they're all narrow foot girl shoes that look tight and uncomfortable. A pity.

These feel more juvenile and sterile than actual sneakers like they're for a kid going to religious school
