Bizarre at first glance, but not the worst idea as I think about it more. There probably aren't that many effectively barefoot cowboy boots out there. However, there's no way that converse rubber sole is gonna hold up, I used to burn those things down in less than a year, so it seems like a bad foundational material for a boot. Who cares if the upper is all stitched leather if the sole will dissolve on you?
The silhouette is still immediately recognizable like when you can still tell a 500lb person has a normal size skeleton inside them
