>Ehhh, has /fa/ ever bought a piece of clothing over 5k?
You're a retard if you ever do this and you deserve to get robbed at gunpoint
>>
>7,7k to Look like you ripped off The carhart logo off your hoodie
>>
>>18294725
I've spent a bit over 6k on my fursuit, does that count?
>>
>>18294725
more like fag bomber
>>
>>18294725
7k? You can buy a car with that money. No piece of cloth is beating wheels.
>>
>FILL: 100% POLYESTER
Is this based or cringe?
>>
>>18296292
Getting idiots to pay astronomical prices for $50 worth of plastic is very very based.
>>
>>18296301
>a jackets weight in polyester is worth 50 usd
holy kek, maybe 50 cents
>>
>>18296292
>>18296301
>>18296444
what would be a more appropriate filling material for a jaket that cost almost 8k?
>>
>>18296462
for 8k i would want the jacket to have some function or specific notoriety. i can see myself buying a flightsuit or an actual firemans jacket. i would also consider something like an actual steampunks jacket from 1840 in decent condition if it looked really nice
i wouldnt be looking at the filling by its self, so i guess that its possible that there would be some polyester in something i might consider
>>
Not even CCP leather is priced that much and the quality is well beyond anything FOG produces.
>>
>>18294725
I once bought a $2500 t shirt that came with a free half stack
>>
FOG is a meme brand for asian bugmen
>>
>>18294725
i have some balmain shit that i paid about 3k a piece for. fully aware i paid for design not raw quality.

>>18296292
depends if its generic fill or something actually good like climashield apex which is slightly worse than the highest grade of down but does better in wet.

>>18296301
if you fill it with expedition parka levels of the highest grade down in the world the fill's gonna cost less than 200 bucks.

I want a private jet that rolls coal. I think it would be fun to skywrite disparaging messages to the poor people below

for 8k it better be something like eiderdown. Unreal that people would pay thousands for plastic
>>
>>18294725
You just don't start by buying a 7K jacket.

It's just that when you have a 10k entry level Rolex, wear $500 Roja fragrance, you start to wear $150 tees, and then you don't know what's worth what.
>>
Flying business from LA to Tokyo costs 5K.
Business class is full on every flight. Is buying a 7K jacket worst?

Some people (many people actually) have that kibd of money.
>>
>>18298182
What is offensive is not the price. What is offensive is that it's a $700 jacket for 10x that. You would be naive to think that more money = better quality in the modern world
>>
>>18298207
You made me look it up
>Fear of God LEATHER hooded bomber
>made in Italy from heavy kubuck leather

Not saying it's worth the price, i don't know the brand, but $700 for a GOOD full grain leather jacket made in Italy, isn't that crazy.
>>
>>18297357
imagine the smell
>>
>>18298215
>but $700 for a GOOD full grain leather jacket made in Italy, isn't that crazy.
yeah I'm agreeing with that. I could even get up to $1500 for a leather jacket. But nearly $8000 for something full of polyester? No way
>>
>>18298215
*7K

An unbranded leather jacket, made from the worst leather in Pakistan already starts at $300, an Hugo Boss one goes (still made in Pakistan) goes for $500, a Boggi Milano one made in Italy goes for $800.
So, a luxury brand would at least charge twice this price. 7K is over the top, but not by much.
>>
A Brunello Cuccinelli leather jacket (both made in Italy and Luxury) goes for around 10K as well.
The question is, is FoG as luxury as BC?
>>
>>18298224
anon, I can get a full grain nubuck jacket with leather from a named tannery in a western country, with animal horn buttons, cut and sewn in the US and no plastic for $1800. You're paying minimum $5000 premium because it's from a "luxury" brand
>>
>>18298236
That's what luxury is about, people are paying for the exclusivity.

Same goes for limited cars, limited watches, limited fragrances.
Some fragrances cost $50 and others cost $500, they are the same quality, but if you buy the $500 ones you're sure you'll not meet someone else wearing the same fragrance than you.
>>
>>18298236
so with designer brands you're largely paying for the design part of things. nobody purchasing that stuff is under the illusion they're getting materials/quality in proportion to what they pay.
there's a difference between clipart copy paste clothes, something designed by a retarded chink, and something designed by a designer.
there are however a lot of designer clothes that egregiously phone in the design part but are still marked up as shit.
the target audience for this stuff isn't working everyday people its celebrities rappers your local drug dealer etc.

>>18298226
no but if you're a black rapper you'll want the fog anyways.

>>18298182
i know people who probably waste 7k a month on doordash and online hats on steam games.
>>
>>18298250
>>18298252
I might believe you if the design was actually something interesting or inspired. It's just a blobby hoody. I don't wear it but I can understand why Acronym stuff is worth double a boring looking goretex jacket. If you really want to spend that much money for "exclusivity" then good luck to you
>>
>>18298269
The wrists are quite unique, not that i'm a fan of it, but it has some uniqueness while also being lowkey.
>>
>>18298269
the target audience isn't pinching pennies like you they scan the card and get the thing they want without any consideration for price.
>>
>>18298280
I actually do think that's kinda cool but the motif is not repeated anywhere. I feel like mens clothing could be more interesting if there was more detail like that but when you lock $50 worth of design behind thousands of dollars that's pretty sad
>>
the cashmere one for 3.5K is kind of cool
>>
>>18298283
OP is clearly not that type of person. That's the entire reason for this thread
