it is the most cringe board on the entire site, i think. there are probably boards with userbases that are more cringe, but this board is the most cringe because you actually get to see pictures of people being cringe. it's just ugly skinny people wearing stupid bullshit

The headband is a lot. I'd pick a color thay blends with the outfit better.
Sillhouette looks a bit whack but not sure how I'd fix.

On the whole think you'll be fine but leave the nerd gear at home and change the headband
>>
>>18297842
I'm gonna be real with you guys, his pants are too long (needs tailoring overall) but I think this fucks. Depending on where he's wearing it. Class? No. First date? Not unless he arranged it in this type of fit. But like, night out with the boys? Some kind of social gathering? Hell yeah. Its coherent and feels genuine.
>>
>>18298124
It's hilarious to see the contrarian nature of 4chan try so hard to justify Doug's obviously atrocious fits lmao. It just looks like shit buddy, you aint special or smart for trying to make it seem less bad
>>
>>18298131
Nah this one is good. You're just thinking about more than the fit. The color choices and piece selection are good, its all in line without being too matchy. Peacock feather is a fun touch. The only things wrong with it are the (absence of) tailoring, which makes him look even more like a goofy kid.

What part of it do you think isn't working?

Also show me what modern politicians dress like that. Here you get an out of shape man in a poorly fitting suit so he doesn't scare off the common man by looking too elite.

Instead of contributing a bunch of whiny faggots like yourself bitch about what you used to like seeing other people do. You all could contribute, but you don't. You just sit back and do nothing but gripe while expecting everyone else to do the hard work. You're the niggers of fashion.
>>
>>18301076
wow! another impressive youve posted here on /fa/ (fashion) 4chan.com, hope you change clothes soon so i can see another!
>>
>>18302132
Pretty much. Have I posted a fit in the thread? Nope, but I’m also not bitching about the fits that are actually posted. People expect waywt to be 100% inspo, that’s not the point of the thread. It’s not a competition either. It’s a thread where you posts what you’re wearing and people either compliment or critique your fit. Not bitch about not being shown nice outfits frequently enough
>>
>>18299902
tranny negro with that man hand and wrist
>>
>>18302215
>People expect waywt to be 100% inspo, that’s not the point of the thread

Just chiming in to agree. There are generals threads that are style specific and way better for information, inspo, etc. I'm not much of a denim guy but I learned about buying denim direct from Japan is insanely cheaper from the denim thread and just grabbed a pair of Oni jeans, they'll be here on Monday. I learned about Paraboots from a footwear thread, I've got a pair of Michaels, and I just got a pair of Chambords, I'll probably get another model next month. The shoes are insanely well made and fit with my aesthetic, and I learned about them here first.

There's plenty of anons that post fits I don't like, I don't disparage them because no one is forcing me to wear what they're wearing and they aren't spending my money. I just take note of what works and what doesn't, maybe there's something I can learn and apply to what I wear. I don't mind when people talk shit about my fits, it's 4chan,what the fuck do you expect if you put yourself out here. What makes me scratch my head is the people who complain non stop, but keep posting.

Ok, the threads were better years ago. That's fine, but if it's awful, why are you here? I get not posting your own fits, but why keep coming back? Why not go somewhere that you'll enjoy? Is someone holding a gun to your head and just forcing you to keep refreshing threads you don't like?
If you viewed a thread for years and you don't like where it's at now, do you have nothing to contribute to try and improve it? There's at least one anon who comments that he won't post as long as transexuals post. Ok, not saying I agree with that take but I completely understand it. But why keep exposing yourself to content that is bad?
People get addicted to playing the victim in modern society and I think there's shades of that here, they're just hooked on bitching incessantly like women.

To be fair part of it is also normal 4chan shit, if you post here someone's gonna tear your ass apart no matter how good or shir you look because of their weird culture war shit, which has only gotten worse and worse. It'd be one thing if they were critiquing but you just get shitposting.

I still post from time to time but the truth is that this board isn't good for anything you might expect it to be for and that chases everyone off.

The board's population is 80% weebs and chuds hoping to absorb enough style to successfully appear human so almost all discussion comes down to how to blend in instead of encouraging creativity or personal style. And those are mostly the people commenting--you are way more likely to hear that you should kill yourself than for someone to suggest how to improve your look, so if you don't have confidence you aren't gonna want to post. And very few people have that kind of comfidence, no matter what we say. The people who post here day after day getting shit on are outliers.

I'm rambling but basically this just isn't a good place for posting your fits. I still do from time to time but I see why people would fuck off for a hugbox like reddit or something

"Hey man you want fries with that"-ass gym fit today
>>
>>18303230
You need to fold/hang your clothes right after you dry them, wrinkly shirt is killing you. The pants and shies aren't bad pieces but I think you need to accessorize some, and the top should probably be a color that either leans into the techwearish-look more or contrasts with the black pants, this color combo is a bit muddy for me.

>>18301452
Eyepatch and hook aside I think this fucks. You could just wear this out. Keep the sash. Black color/pocket lining is maybe not ideal. ID on pants?

>>18300257
Not bad. Maybe don't like how the tuck looks but I can never tuck a shirt without it looking like shit so I'm one to talk. Clean your mirror though.

>>18299902

>>18298392
Don't like the tie sticking out of the bottom of the jacket on this one. Actuslly don't like that tie/pant combo at all and it looks like you're wearing your pants up to your ribs since I can't see the belt or anything despite the jacket parting so high.

>>
>>18303535
They're a cool piece but I don't think the fit is totally working for me.

It might look better IRL but at this image quality the two black shirts and the pants all look really samey which kind of makes it look like a costume. Something as simple as swapping the black shirt out for white would do wonders for this outfit because it would more clearly delineate the pieces. A different overshirt or a jacket could also help if you wanted to stay all black--try for something that stands out against the cotton tee imo.

I also think the watch is really out of place wiht this fit. I'd go for something with a black strap and a more futuristic/tech look.

Boots are great match for the pants though

Shoes/boots don't go with anything else, and the length of the jeans causes serious issues from the knee down. See the weird folding at the knee/upper calf, also they're so long they're under your heel. I can't tell if the jeans are supposed to be bootcut or not, the pooling on the shoe makes them look wider at the hem than at your knee. Hemming them a couple of inches would really benefit you no matter what look you're going for.

>>18303535
I really, really like this. It's the complete opposite of my style and I would never be able to pull this off in a million years but I think this looks great. Going to disagree with the other anon, the all black works and I say that as someone who isn't a fan of monochromatic fits. You've got enough details to make it interesting and the silhouette isn't boring either, and there's still plenty of room to tinker with this as well. I think a black M-65 field jacket or an Eisenhower jacket would work here, or some sort long military parka. If you could get some texture on the upper half as well like a black thick ribbed tank top under the shirt it would look great too.
This is genuinely my favorite fit that I've seen in a couple weeks, you've got me thinking about how I could try and do monochromatic in my style and not look bland.
Only nitpick I have is the watch, the other anon was right, it really doesn't go with the rest of the fit. I'm not a watch guy but something with either a leather strap or a thick stainless steel strap would look great here.

>Today's fit
Got a new pair of Paraboots Chambords, absolutely love them. Surprisingly comfortable out of the box, incredibly well built. Going to grab another pair or two with my bonus this year.

yeah, i kind of found out today that my hair looks a lot better if i just dampen it with a handful of warm water, and i have been going to the gym, got a membership, but so far i haven't been taking enough advantage of it. I'll try to change that.
still, it's a good outfit though, right? not as silly or overdressed as my usual fits, and honestly i'm wondering if i could stand to strip things down like that.

I've been learning the hard way that my ADHD-addled brain doesn't have the bandwidth for too many clothes and my rooms constantly a mess for it. I've amassed way too many shirts and ties in proportion to proper suits and jackets, I always just wanna dump a lions share of them in some sorta storage unit until further notice. Maybe one day I'll have an excuse for that expansive clothes-horse sort of wardrobe but I'm realizing im really not at that stage of my life yet.

Luckily I've been able to trim some of the fat by sending it over to a family member for them to sell at markets, so hopefully that returns some money and space to me.

This jackets probably been one of my best purchases so far, fits great, has the quirky details i like, and it goes with a lot of what i have

Do you brush your hair when its dry? You really shouldnt do that you clearly have curly hair, brushing and/or not conditioning enough will make it frizzy like that. Look up how to take care of curly hair, something like the curly girl method or anything adjacent, just follow every step and see how it turns out for you.

Don’t listen to this fag, heat damage will just worsen the state of your hair over time, the best you can do is figure out how to care for and bring out the natural texture of your hair in a healthy way. Straightening curly hair is a hassle and if you don’t do it right will look even more shit than your current starting point. Just because this retard avoids educating himself on hair care doesn’t mean you have to do the same.

Good point. The shirt is an oxford so it's not exactly flimsy but you're right, in comparison to the other two fabrics it does. I don't have too many substantial button up shirts, next time I'll at least throw a sweater on over the shirt. I need to find a corduroy or moleskin shirt that has long enough arms, that would be a better pairing.

Gasmask cargos really need other interesting pieces to make them shine. Styled the way you have them they may as well be H&M joggers. Grab some chunky boots at the very least. When I had a pair I wore them with Julius SS10 crepe soled combat boots or guidi 788z. This fit >>18303230 kind of works since the shoes lean into techwear and the tee looks premium, but they still could be subbed for almost any other cargo pant to similar effect.
>>18301139
Hell yeah
>>
>>18310071
Did you size up on that pair of 634? The legs actually look perfect on you, but I know that IH’s straight cuts have a notoriously slim leg
>>
>>18310083
Just a bit. I went with a 33 which had a bit of gapping at the waist but nothing major given that they sit lower on the body.

The ass and thighs were painted on to start, but the OD fabric stretches a ton so I knew I'd be in the clear within a day or so of wear. That said, I think these only work because the 634 OD is a different pattern than the indigo 634, designed to have both tag sizes start out as close as possible to each other. All the other OD jeans are the base pair shrunk to fuck in sulfur dye so they're noticably smaller and eventually stretch out to approximate their similar sized counterpart in indigo. These start out the same as the indigo but can stretch to be appreciably looser.
>>
>>18310071
them jeans is the wrong size there bro
>>
>>18310095
Care to elaborate?
>>
>>18310093
Word. I had a pair of 888 that I gave to my brother because I didn’t like how slim the leg was. I’m thinking of going to self edge and trying on a pair of those overdyed 634. Everyone says the 634 is the cut to get, but the only concern I have is that the rise looks pretty fucking low. How does the rise feel as a guy who typically wears wide leg cuts?
>>
>>18310108
These measure 11" with a back rise of 15.5". They sit a tad lower than my OD 888, but feel easier to move in because the seat feels more snug overall so there's no extra fabric to catch when I move (if that makes any sense?).

I was hesitant to try them for the same reason though (normally a 12" FR minimum kind of guy), but I got some Samurai S3000s that made me realize I can wear mid rise jeans just as comfortably as high rise- if not moreso because it's really hard to find something that sits tight on my (narrow) waist since most people are fat, whereas it's a lot easier to fit my hips and obliques since they're not somewhere guys store a lot of extra weight unless they get really fucking big, so pants cut for the general population can still sit ok there.
>>
>>18310120
Oh hell yeah, I’m the other anon with the s3000. Agreed 100% on everything you said. I typically like to wear minimum 12.5” front rise, but samurai’s mid rise cuts somehow just fit perfectly on me. It’s like the waist band tapers inward to fit really snug while the thighs are big, giving crazy good crotch mobility. If the overdyed 634 has a similar feel, I’m probably gonna try to snag a pair. The issue I had with the IH888 is that it not only has too slim of a leg with shit mobility, but the entire top block was like vertical or something, so the jeans always ended up sagging a bit despite the front rise and waist theoretically being a really good measure. If I was a super skinny guy I could imagine the 888 would be an amazing cut

>>18310134
I have the same exact issue with the 888 but my legs are thinner than yours (dropped volume significantly to make jean shopping easier) so I can still wear them fairly comfortably. I just didn't like how much they sagged in the top block. These don't have The tapered top block of the sammies, but they're also low enough that if you have any ass, you can cinch them with a belt and not have to worry about all the extra fabric in the seat and waist you get with the 888.

And as far as sizing goes, I wear a 32 in the S3000 and a 33 in both the 634 and 888. These are the sammies on me after a few days of wear.

>Damn you've really stepped up your fit game. So much better than where you were ~6mo ago. Only thing I'd change is the onis in the last fit could use a hem. Or maybe a double cuff to help visually taper the leg a hair

Agree on the hem. The plan is to give them one more hot wash and then see where the length is, I don't want to hem while they're still shrinking. I will do a double cuff, my issue with that is in promo pics double cuffs always look perfectly flat, but when I do it they bulge out more because I'm a retard that's clearly doing something wrong but I don't know what it is.
As far as stepping my game up, thank you. Still plenty to improve on but I think I've got a coherent style now.

Denim question for you: I'd like to get something with a bit of a higher rise than the Onis and a slimmer leg. The rise on mine is 12 inches but it feels lower when I wear them. What do you think would look decent on me and have a 12.5+ rise?
>>
>>18310227
Try laying them on a table and cuffing them. That way you can be sure the cuff is even all around and you don't get any weird bunching.

As for higher and slimmer options, look into Flat Head 3004 (12.7" rise at tag 33), Indigofera's Kain cut (looks like it could be a Wrangler 936 repro), and Japan Blue loose fit (13" front rise at tag 31 with a wide thigh that tapers down to an 8" leg opening)

Like the shirt and sweater, like the shoes, words can't express how much I hate those trousers. High waters/cropped trousers can make your legs look longer, these just look like trousers that are six inches too short. I think it's the width at the hem that throws me off, it makes your legs look shorter somehow.

i like the colors + socks are definitely the way to go. i hate when people don't wear socks with these outfits.
>>18301076
really nice
>>18301139
jesus christ. why are they so long. the boots are also gross.
>>18303230
pants are a weird cut. they look too tight on the calves but too loose on the butt. not sold on the shoes with this fit either.
>>18303535
just looks discombobulated. the shoes are the worst part. sorry.
>>18304739
bro, please cut the mullet or grow your sides out. you are close to a good look but it's just too tryhard when it's all together. right is much better. you can keep some aspects of it but too much at once ruins it.

the pants and the tie are too much man. but fix those and you'll be fly as hell.
>>18311077
i feel like this doesn't go together well. cut of the pants doesn't go with the jacket, belt is thick as hell, and the shoes are just silly.

The button up doesn't fit with anything else you're wearing, the pants don't fit with the sweater and leg warmers(?), and the leg warmers(?) also don't fit with the shoes.
I suggest you start with simpler combinations to get a sense of what works.

The kid who always says "yeah I'll train legs tomorrow" everytime someone asks.
>>
>>18316535
I haven't trained legs in over a year besides the stairmaster. Don't you know it's rude to comment on other's appearances without posting a fit yourself?

black and dbz fan are a classic combo and the layering looks good.
>>18316335
good gym outfit, you’ll look much better once you fill out your frame.

I didn’t get the whole fit in this pic but I wore beige chinos and silver hoka clifton 9s with it.

Yes, that's the fact on which the joke I made is based.
>post fit
I do sometimes, but I usually keep my comments separate to avoid the replies being influenced by my own comments.
But since you're asking, this is what I wore today.

Yes, I know. I was confirming the validity of your joke. Don't try and out-autism me buddy. Decent fit but the jacket is too big and long on you. Also not a fan of the shoes.
>>18317019
I've had it for a while, but I've experimented with longer and shorter. Picrel was a godly hair day but most of the time it didn't look that great at that length.
>>
>>18317067
Yeah, not a fan of that length with that cut. At that point you're better off growinh it a bit longer or trimming it to about the previous pic's length.

Ehhhh, odd striped jacket and skinny black pants? I think the combo makes the jacket look a bit longer than it should.
>>18317153
A mistake

I'm going to nitpick but there's a couple of issues here

1: You're wearing a suit jacket, not a sport coat, suit jackets on their own don't really work in most fits. There's a few ways to differentiate a suit jacket versus a sport coat but if it's a smooth texture and pinstriped odds are it came from a suit.

2: The jacket is a little too wide in the shoulders and too long in the body. You can hem the body but the shoulders can't really be altered without spending alot of money.

3: The trousers are way too slim for that jacket, they make your legs look too skinny compared to your torso.

The colors and overall style are pretty good though. Swap the suit jacket out for a grey sport coat with some texture. A grey tweed, camel hair or corduroy would work great. Get some looser trousers, you don't have to go full baggy but a looser pair will also drape better and be more flattering.

>>18316983
>>18317267

Also a shirt with cufflinks and no tie is clash of style/formality. It's not a huge deal and I think it can work with the overall style you're going for but a regular button cuff would work better here

Way too much going on with the left pic. You've got a coat, a heavy button up sweater with a collar, then a vest under that. It's too busy.

The two pics on the right are fantastic, bottom right is great and one of the better fits from this thread. The fucking watch has to go though, it doesn't fit the vibe of anything else you're wearing and stands out in a bad way.
Most of your fits heavily revolve around different shades of brown, is that an intentional choice?

Thank you for your input.
>jacket too wide
You can see creases going from the fastened button to both sides of the chest and abdomen, and the crease on the shoulder is due to the big/low armhole, you can even see the outline of my upper arm, the shoulders are barely wide enough.
>jacket too long
You can see it doesn't reach the crotch of my pants, and you can't see it from this picture but the hem doesn't even reach the bottom of my buttocks.
So whatever makes you say it's too wide and too long?
