what do i do about my hair? i have no idea how to deal with it or what products i should use on it. every guide online assumes that you already have a little bit of knowledge on 4c hair, i don't

As a future doctor or engineer shouldn't you be able to use Google?
>>

my bad should've been clearer, do you know any good comprehensive guides or something for my hair type? or just hair in general honestly

I think you have bigger problems than your hair, bucko.

shut up, mohammed

...dont use s curl, you will ruin your hair texture

i think you should get a mid taper and then sponge the top, but imo longer hair always looks better on long hair types, perhaps you could try the sponge + taper until you get enough length to braid?

consider a front hairline taper too

His hair looks long enough to get cornrows, imo he should do that to preserve the length and then get braids after that.

You're better off browsing a 4c or black hair subreddit or tiktok for ideas for style, but I'll help out here.

General advice would be to get a line up/shape up once every two weeks. You have a good natural hairline though and your hair seems healthy enough so you can go for something like pic related. Talk to your barber and take some of their advice.
If you want longer hair for braids and locs, then just grow it out and decide from there but still get a line up.

Always use a bonnet when you sleep to protect your hair as well.

Other advice: Based on your skin, you seem prepubescent. Get a face wash.
Differin's daily oil-free hydrating cleanser is my go-to. After which, a face lotion like Cetaphil to moisturize and finish with a korean spf sunscreen for your face. I like to scan products that I use with the Yuka app, just to minimize the amount of harmful ingredients I put on myself.

I would also recommend getting contacts, just for more freedom with looks. Your glasses don't seem all to flattering.

In regards to washing and product, you dont have to wash nearly as often as white hair textures do. once every week or two weeks. usually.
But seek advice from an expert but again, use the yuka app to scan the barcodes of the products before you buy.

It's still wild to me that black people are actually on 4chan, like why? Doesn't the constant racism get on your nerves?
>>

When you realize that most of the posters here are losers irl it doesnt matter. It's all they can do to not feel bad about their lives.

you are black

You hair look find the way you are, just keep washing your hair, dry it, comb it. I think an afro with these features would be a bit much, you have big lips, which is fine or even cute, but with an afro you would look like a cartoon. I'll say your current features and hair would look good with sweaters or shirt with collars...since you have a young cute face, contrast with older sharp dress.

honestly try twists or talk to other black ppl. 4chin is not the place to ask for advice on black hair. even reddit is better for something like this. gl brother

you should do a polish plait

NTA but the type of black people who post here are generally insecure. For me, at least, the racism is funny and the racism that isn't just mean for mean's same usually has some factual basis.
That being said we're all anons who hide behind images of cartoon autistic frogs and it's nice being something/someone else for a change without worrying what people think.

ur hair looks like fur
It’s really weird
why aren’t you taking care of it? It’s not normal for hair to look like fur … why
cut it off and get a buzz cut, so it looks like stubble and not fur!
