All jokes aside, you can fix this. First, you pull sort of spread out the fabric so that the thread pulls back in as much as it can. Then, you take a needle and thread and snag the loop and pull it inward. It actually saved more than a few of my garments, because I have two cats.
if you need better instructions, google it, but I promise you it can be fixed pretty easily.
