I got vomit on my corduroy jacket. It says it's machine washable but I'm not convinced. Should I get it dry cleaned or can I get away with machine washing it? It has a typical jacket lining of acetate or whatever
>>18318199corduroy tolerates machine washing well its a rather rugged fabric. simultaneously fancy but also a workwear fabric. just wash it inside out in a garment bag with low or no spin (pat dry with towels after if no spin) on cold delicate mode and you will be fine promise.
don't iron it without looking up how first though. takes some special care.
>>18318208>>18318207Do I need to use a garment bag if I'm washing it alone? Also would a steamer be an easier method for de-wrinkling? Sorry for the third degree but this is my one good jacket so I'm trying not to fuck it up here

>>18318217youre fine without a garment bag just ups the chances of no issues if you care about the jacket.could hand wash to be really gentle too.never steamed corduroy but i imagine its fine you mostly want to avoid compressing the piles if you iron.
