I am so sick of these denim queerswho makes good casual wool pants?ideally 100% wool
>>18337465https://letmegooglethat.com/?q=100%25+wool+trousershere you go
>>18337465Octobre editions Carl trousers, Taylor stitch Carnegie pants. Try “wool 5 pocket pants” or “wool work trousers” instead of just “wool trousers” for your search inquiries
>>18337465Keep in mind wool has to be given to a laundry service. If you try it with your own washing machine it will get ugly pilling and more and more felt likeOtherwise try Suitsupply custom made. Choose no lining and some nice buttons made of horn. Most people have never tried perfectly fitting pants.
>>18337465Rota, SEH Kelly, Berg & Berg, O'Connell's, Pommella, Armoury, Andover Shop, JPress, Suitsupply, all fine options. There's a tier higher but I doubt anyone on here is buying $900 bespoke pants. Avoid: Epaulet (company owned by jewish tranny)
>>18337465what fit goes with these pants?
>>18337491washing it at home is fine. use woolite detergent and lay flat to dry instead of using the machine.
are 100% better than nylon blends?
>>18337491Why no lining? I like viscose lining in my wool trousers.
>>18337491Wool doesn't need to be washed often. So, it's fine. If you are wearing it once a week and don't get it soiled, you can get away with washing it only about five times a year. And if you are living in a cold climate, then wearing long johns would pretty much eliminate the need to wash them.
>>18337491You wash it in cold water and without spin. Iidiot
>>18338612Obviously yes, no synthetic is ever better than a natural material at anything, they are all meant to cut costs
>>18338612depends.nylond blend will be more durable, but don't get so much nylon in it that it becomes a wool blend.
>>18337465those big bill ones are excellent
>>18338543boots and a mac cruiser
>>18337468Oh no, too many options. I value my time
>>18339378>I value my time>scrolls 4chan
>>18339380Yes, I don't have time to scroll Google as well as 4chan.
>>18337465Chanel, dries van noten, comme des garcons, real mccoy, idk…… go to the tailor if you can afford it and have him make you a pair
>>18339369>>18339368what's the sizing on this like?
>>18339396true to size and they fit generously, but the green ones fit slightly slimmer than the charcoal
>>18339408just got minepretty sweet
>>18337465These look like slim straight trousers but I guess they are regular fit? I’ll probably get these tailored to slim fit
>>18340196they fit generously because they were designed to be worn during hunting
>>18340196Yea they are anything but slim.
where do I cop casual 100% black wool pants?
>>18340804>black pantsat the negro store (you steal them)

>>18339044Are big gay bills pants all with nylon? I want green all wool
>>18341014get the charcoal one for pure wool
>>18341024Those are gay clown plaid pants. No thanks. Does anyone make casual single colored wool pants?
>>18341241not at the price you want to pay
>>18341241>he's not chad enough to pull them off like >>18339369many such cases, SAD!
>>18341257I’ve worn much more ridiculous clothes than that faggot. I just want a pair of normal looking casual wool pants is all>>18341256Insightful
>>18337465What’s the washing care like on these? I want them and want them to last and not shrink.
>>18341269dry clean but you really only have to do that once every year at most
>>18341270That’s not bad, could I get away with just handwashing/hang dry? I hate paying for dry cleaning even if it’s once a year
>>18341276you can handwash but no wringing
>>18338816wool is so anti microbial that people regularly hike 2400+ miles across america in the same pair of underwear. most of them are women btw. sniffffffffff
>>18340804Black is overrated for casual wear. For wool, pick darke but muted colours. Grey, blue, browns. Or some flannels and melange types with different color. Black is also unusual for wool trousers, so unless you need a formal suite id avoid it.
>>18342262Suit*
>>18341276>Hang dryNo. Dry by laying out a towel on the rack and place the pant flat ontop. Flip over half way. If you hand, the fabric may stretch in the wrong places as wool.is very heavy wen wet. Depends a bit on the actual wool and weave. But generally laying it flat is the rule of thumb.
>>18342262fuck youI want black wool pants
>>18342266Are you a waiter?
>>18342267he thinks he looks cool and mysterious in black but in reality he looks boring and everyone thinks he's in the service industry
you can get wool slacks from CDG or issey miyake or w/e for like $40 on ebay
>>18339368>>18339369any other pants out there like this?
>>18344602Filson makes pants in their mackinaw wool too
>>18343763Thanks
>>18344738I just fact-checked myself and realized ebay is a very different world from yahoo auctions and CDG is stupid expensive, but 'wool slacks' still turns up tons of good stuff under $80 and good materials hold up, so you can buy no-name shit from before the chinese slave labor meta, when the average product was much higher quality, and it'll still be made well and hold up for a long time.
>>18344741but most of those aren't the shrunken wool like in the OP most of them are worsted wool which doesn't have the same wind/rain resistance
>>18342262This anon is correct. You can wear black wool trousers but it takes more effort to make it look good and not like a waiter or wannabe edgelord. If you want dark wool trousers, you'll get way more mileage out of charcoal. It's almost black so you can wear it with any fit that you would have worn black but it's more versatile and you're more likely to find charcoal wool trousers in different fabrics and textures (tweed, gabardine, flannel, birdseye, herringbone, etc) than you would black. Same goes for chocolate and navy. If you are hellbent on black wool trousers, please don't wear all black, break it up a little. Try oxblood shoes instead of black, wear a shirt with a pattern instead of monochromatic, etc. People think wearing all black makes it easy to be stylish but it really doesn't. You have to play with fit and texture to make all black look decent. The only black trousers I own are seersucker and linen because they're unique for warm weather clothes.
>>18344887You can find those by searching for "boiled wool" or "felted wool" trousers or slacks, again many quality designer pairs available for under $80
anyone here have fits of the filson pants?
the green merino wool ones are great too, lighter than the charcoal plaid
anyone here have the filson wool pants?I wanna get one and maybe remove the pockets
>>18346401>maybe remove the pocketsbut why?
>>18346583girls say they dont like cargo pants
>>18339380You can walk away from 4chan and wait for an answer and do other things in the meantime.
>>18342262We're in the modern age anon. Many old rules don't apply anymore.
>>18346985Thats right. I outsource my research to random anons all the time, for free. Works pretty good.
spier and mackay high rise are pretty good too but they are just a regular weave and not the shrunken wool so the wind and water resistance is less
>>18339368>>18339369no joke I got two pairs because I liked the first one so much because of this post
>>18346781They will like those pants if they like you
>>18349025what pants are these? does it have pleats
>>18349943high rise pants from spier and mackay, single pleat no belt loops adjustable tabs
>>18337465army
>>18349025Are they still warmer than jeans?
>>18349955yes and more wind/water resistant than jeans, great for fall/spring, ok for winter if you're wearing a long coat
sitting down on snow while wearing wool pants instead of jeans is proof they're better
>>18337465big bill isnt 100% but theyre comfy and durable
>>18346039nice bro i have the same ones
>>18349955everything is warmer than jeans when you're /out/. cotton kills

>>18350305Also does anyone have any experience with mil surplus wool pants?
>>18350164I'm more worried about the 70% recycled wool, but yeah. They're cheaping out on all their wool stuff.
Johnson wollen millshttps://www.johnsonwoolenmills.com/collections/mens-pantsPlenty of different options in terms of weight. Several models are 100% wool.
>>18350214I also have never had a problem other than letting clothes dry while camping over night. The next morning it looked like someone shot my wool pants with a shotgun.
>>18350138Yeah let me drop 150 euro on some shitty wool blends from Finland, great idea
Any like the Big Bill ones in the UK?
>>18353526ordering big bill from gostwear in canada isnt that big of a hassle
>>18337491Wool basically never needs to be washed unless you spill something and stain it Otherwise just hang it up outside every once in a while to air it out
>>18354231Thanks I didn't know about gostwear

>>18356935nahgoing for that cash dark academia look to get the educated grills
>>18337465taylor stitch, gustin (for wool five pocket pants), suitsupply or spier and mackey for dress pants, or what I do is go on mercari japan/yahoo jp/ragtag/kindal for cheap second hand designer. military surplus can be good too, but can be hit or miss. I personally wear a lot of black wool pants, but like other posters said, its often not a good casual look (unless you wear a lot of black already). I think the keys to wearing wool casually is to get something with texture and/or other details that business/formal style pants dont have. If you do buy dressier pants to start with (like spier and mackey) then try ironing out the creases - it will make them look less business-y. Another way to do this is to get wider pants, since most business pants these days are more slim, although thats hard without spending a lot of money or going secondhand >>18338612for the most part yes, usually its a cost cutting measure. There are definitely brands I trust to use blends wisely though, especially outerwear with a more technical bent.
>>18357000to get more specific>an 80/20 coat will be more durable, shrink less, mat less, and retain shape better, and be less "scratchy" than a 100% wool garment>+ add on faster drying times & a bit of resistance to pilling & a bit of resistance to insectsi still prefer and look for 100% wool. i think it looks and feels nicer. but blends are the way to go for utilitarian garments. a lot of vintage stuff is blend.
>stockbridge sewing works>ebbets (bought out by fnatics)is there anyone else making wool baseball caps right now?
>>18357015filson
>>18357018i guess i should stop giving a fuck that they're imported now that ebbets got bought out. this thing was the best damn cap i ever had. shouldn't have given it away.
>>18357000what japanese designer do you search for?
Peter Millar fit looks kind of gay. Any opinion on these? I feel like they won't be as slim on me so maybe will look good. I see good deals on Ebay.
>>18357015Search Ebay. There are tons of hats on Ebay, leather and I assume wool, for cheap.
