There's a time and a place for sneakers just like regular leather footwear, you wouldn't (or rather shouldn't) wear boots with a suit just like you shouldn't wear loafers when going down to the pub to watch a sportsball game with your friends, something I'm sure you have little experience with.

To treat sneakers as immature is itself a symptom of mental immaturity, it's projection. Feeling the need to constantly dress up rather than dress for the occasion and dress well for it. You do nothing but pollute these threads with inane opinions and stifle any real discussion. Pls go and stay go

For the most part boots are workwear and most worsted suits will clash with this, unless you have a particular weave and cut of fabric it won't work well at all, the goal is to create harmony with a fit.

If you want to wear a suit with boots you'd need to either wear "dressier" boots like Chelsea boots or go for a more casual workwear inspired suit that would be more common in the early 20th century. Loafers can work with most things imo

Hi.
I live in a wet winter area +1 .. -5 (-15) C, my feet are different sizes and I have developing flat footedness which can get worse. I like to walk a lot outside barely in the wilderness and somewhat do sports. I'd like a water-resistant approach? shoes,
Can you tell which Salomon shoes and size should I get,
if Salomons at all (Asics?),
if I have size UK 9, EUR 43, US 10, cm 28 in PUMA rs-x reinvention which is a tight fit.

I read the reviews on site and everyone says that they aren't durable no more and beg to return a previous generation.

not all sneakers are bad. the plastic leather stuff they scam teenagers/zoomers with is atrocious. it looks bad, childish, etc. an adult man really should not be wearing stuff made out of that on his feet unless its just small panels like a nike swoosh made out of it at most.
but sneakers made from canvas, suede, nylon, knit, woven, mesh, etc type uppers do actually age pretty well if cared for and are often times not a complete scam.
sneakerheads have been moving away from the plastic-leather jordan 1's type look and its a good thing. the days of "crease protectors" and not wearing your shoes or waddling in them when you do to avoid the plast--i mean leather creasing are over.
you might think y2k asics runners and the shit they're wearing right now are cringey but objectively speaking they're going to stay looking nice WAY longer than hype shoes of the past. its a step in the right direction for sneakerfags.

They were really mediocre for a long time but in the last year or so they have started making actual performance runners. You need to do some research on what models are good performance and which are just fashion shoes

I like them for what they are. They’re not flashy though that price was hard for me to justify paying in the first place
They’re very comfortable and yet I’d never wear them for the gym as there are literally better shoes out there for this.
They’re fine if it’s what you like

I have worn through some merill walking shoes and they were fine and have lasted. I liked how they were do it all but I'm not keen on how they look, I feel like a slob wearing them.
I'm looking for something that I can do a bit of everything in and they look alright. Like going shopping, driving or walking the dog on trails. I don't really know where to look I like new balance but they look a bit busy, reebok look alright too.

I need something that can handle a years worth of abuse. Not day in day out but something that could and looks good.

I have a wageslave job where i'm walking around on a hard surface all day, and my feet kill me at the end of the night.
I'm thinking about buying a new pair of shoes (usually wear just a very old, beaten pair of AF1s). maybe ultra boosts? I hear they're comfortable, but don't know which of the many models would be the comfiest, wondering if anyone ITT knows. Or maybe new balance, similarly i've heard the 990 series is good. My feet are flat and somewhat wide, and those come in wide sizes so that might be good.

i copped some black chuck 70 highs and the serial numbers are painted over in white paint. i looked at qc's of reps and looked these over really well and they have things like the injection marks and foxing markers in the right place which most rep's don't. and i found a small sewing error on the lasting board inside. there's zero signs they're reps other than the blanked out serial on the sneakers.
but i know that's a red flag for reps.
does nike/converse blank serials out on b grade/seconds? i kind of think this shoe is a b grade authentic. i don't really give a shit just curious.

Should I go with the Mexico 66 classic or SD version? Picrel is the SD version which is apparently more comfortable but it loses the suede in the front and back. The OG looks slightly better imo. The SD costs $30 more.

Back in the 90s and 00s there was way more originality. It's crazy how everyone looks the same now.

white sneakers are fun to wear but also a pain to clean.

is the washing machine method a good way to clean sneakers?

i know you anons love all your cool designs but do people ever make like, very high quality leather sneakers? i know it'd kinda go against the super lightweight super breathable performance enhancing fancy thisthat design but i think it could still look effay if made correctly, i dont really find the super squishy performance stuff comfortable anywaay

>>

meh, the leather is pretty middle of the road and aside from the upper it's not like there's much leather in there anyway and it's got way too much of a heel for me
definitely not worth $400
also im kinda more of a fan of high tops and common project's are ugly imo they curve up to linearly for me
id rather pay more for an actual high quality sneaker with no corners cut, but that's probably not possible to find unless you get something totally custom made
>>18360119
yah, kinda expect leather to last longer than that, i know it's a sneaker but unless you're really beating it up good leather should last you a while

I'm a big fan of the Maison Margiela Replica GATs

Most shoemakers have leather sneakers as well, it's honestly not hard to find ones at all.

I'm not hating on them which is why I have so many, those are the ones I recently threw out since I needed to make space, still have 2 fresher ones in my rotation. I would suggest Hender Scheme for high quality leather shoes but their designs are really a bit too much for me
>>
I saw a guy wearing these on the bus today, thought they looked pretty cool, might buy them for myself, the only thing I can thing of pairing them with is my Red Sox jersey.

you can really design the shittiest website ever and just call the images not loading avant garde, huh

dunks are very limiting to what you can wear with them. they are not like jordan 1s that you can dress up or down. aj1s are a slimmer shoe. dunks you can only dress down. to be fair, there is a reason why no one wore these before, only broke skaters with no fashion sense but you do you, let your inner teenybopper out.
>>
>>18360836
the site loads fine for me but it's a japanese brand/website so they're not exactly known to be technologically advanced with internet things, remember their best offering was yahoo and 2chan or whatever the fuck

what's the difference between an outlet store and a regular store?
i wanna try some adidas on in person. there's two stores pretty close to each other, one is just called the adidas store, the other is called an adidas outlet store.
>>
>>18361053
I would go by the size one could be the main store and have more choices of a specific brand while thee other is just a small selection.
>>
are sites like poshmark good for finding vintage jordans?
