Can this ever be pulled off without looking like a cringe larper biker gang faggot?
>>
yeah.
>>
Look at this random dude youtube has just suggested me.
Does he look like a cringe larper?

that dude literally looks like soijak, he is the poster boy for people who shouldn't be wearing jackets like that. Zero edge to him.

Yeah

He's all over my Insta feed because I liked a post of a jacket
>>

I just saw another video from that guy and he looks so fucking gay. He's too happy to be wearing shit like this, you need some attitude. You dont need to go around kicking trashcans or anything, but at least look like you don't give a fuck, while this guy is just like "haha i have a leather jacket :D ". Larper
>>

I wear it because I'm a metalhead, the OP Pic is standard for metal type clothing

Dunno, I would easily go for a ride wearing this jacket, but it doesn't feel like a jacket I'd want to wear for looks. I won't call it too larpy, but it has too much of "something".
>>
>>18348672
It depends on how it's made and looks, most brands make it look ridiculous.

It depends on pocket placement, texture, those shoulder pads etc also remove the fucking belt it looks goofy
>>
>>18348672
I want this jacket but I'm not a rider. I'm scared
>>
>>18347945
That dreamwork face lol
>>

> I'm not a rider
Fix this and you'll be a happier man.
An excuse to larp as The Wild One is just a bonus.
I, however, decided against perfecto and went with B-15 style jacket. Day 2 of wearing it, but can already tell it feels good both on and off the bike, doesn't attract weird stares, easier to combine with non-biking pants and shoes.
>>
My dad, who was a metalhead biker in the 80s/90s, gave me his. I sometime wear it in shit weather.

Know too many people that got hit or killed on bikes to ever fall for the meme of riding one
At least not on the roads. I'm fine with off-road

yeah you just need a motorcycle and a time machine.

motorcycle riders wear textile/mesh jackets now, these are nearly (just?) as protective against abrasion as leather at less than motogp speeds.

Would I regret not just saving up a bit more for horsehide?
>>
>>18353268
Horsehide is a big meme, quality full grain cowhide is just as durable and more comfortable.

I guess this is the right thread to ask. Where should the perfecto end? How long should it be? I own one and retrospectively I think it might be too short for me. If I put my hands down, it ends at the top of my hipbones. right where my pants start
>>
>>18357191
I answered you in the other thread but yeah, it's short and ends at your hips
>>
>>18347927
I think motorcycle jackets look amazing on the right person. I saw a guy wearing one that was muscular and had long hair and he looked so badass, I had to remind myself I only like girls
But I saw another guy in a jacket just today who simply didn't have the right body and looks and his jacket looked really lame
>>
>>18355468
can't get much gayer than that hat
>>
>>18347927
Yea. Start riding a cruiser style motorbike. A white tshirt underneath and some denim. Packing on some upperbody mass hdlps too. Or getting a longer model that covers more of your lowertorso/pelvis. Or you csn alwats go for a bomber jacket instead
>>
>>18350876
You want to dress dangerously but not live dangerously. best keep away son

My plan is to take the motorcycle safety course next month and then sometime this year, probably in the summer, I'm going to buy a Triumph Bonneville
I own a Schott jacket
>>

>>18358027
When you say muscular, what do you mean? I'm 5'10 about 165 lbs at 12-15% bf. If you look at me I look ottermode but that guy in your pic is like bearmode
And does it really have to be cruisers? I ride Yamahas mostly, although some MV Agustas and Ducatis are really tempting I have to remind myself I can't afford those or their temper and maintenance
>>
>>18347927
Modern day 1 percent outlaw biker gangs drive Lambos nowadays which is pretty based
>>
>>18358160
Never met anyone that is in a biker gang that wasn't a raging trumptard blue collar tradegies
>>
I'm not even muscular, but when I go for a ride on my ancient shitbike, wearing a leather jacket, jeans and a retro helmet, I see random dudes giving me The Stare with a wide grin, that kind of grin your face can only make if you've seen something awesome.
>>
>>18358759
What kind of shitbike?
I don't ride but my best friend does and we've always talked about me getting a bike and doing an epic road trip together

Get any modern scrambler and you'll get a combination of decent ergos + decent handling + good looks with any clothes/gear (but extra cool with retro-inspired clothes including leather jackets) + scramblers are generally suitable for any trip even with light offroad segments.

Depends on the model of the jacket, the metal buckle [belt that sometimes comes with that style of jacket) can scratch up a gastank on some bikes. Classic bikes are the name of the game, single round headlight basically , not neceserally cruiser.
It works on other bikes but not as well

By packing on mass i did not mean 12% bodyfat 10pack with deathstardelts, ofc it helps.. Do some trap, delt and chest excercises. Getting just a litle sliver of thickness in those places makes everything fit better. Remember, you aren't competing with chris bumstead for girls/boys attention but with the 95.9% of other people who eat like shit, drink slightly excesively and don't excercise. (Personal exp, my frend had narrow shoulders and wide pelvis and tiny calves, a month after starting to excercise, he went from a 2.5/10 to a 4. Everything just fit him better, still a 2.5 withouth his shirt though.

However, slimmer builds might be better served by a cafferacer jacket or a fully zippered up schot/brandojacket with smaller collar lapel and less bells, whistles and buckles

I couldnt find a model off the top of my head so i used a vidyagayme

>>
>>18347927
It hangs a lot better in old pics because guys used to be scrawny as shit

Modern door dash bodies would look ridiculous yes.
>>
>>18358924
i think the key to pulling off the more tapered cropped styles of jackets like perfectos is having that broad shoulder + decently small waist combo. if you have a very v tapered skeletal frame you can be pretty scrawny and pull them off. if you have a more typical frame then like you said get fit build your upper body/core and you can probably pull them off. and some male skeletal frame shapes namely guys with naturally wide hips should just outright avoid those styles of jackets.

its also crucial to balance out the upper and lower body with these things. they look very "ysl" with skinny pants. if you're not a 6'3+ northern european guy with god genetics its probably not the look.

What's the difference between a $6k one from a luxury brand and a $900 one from Schott?
>>
>>18359697
6k? Those are clown world prices. You can a Freewheelers, Rainbow Country or Real McCoys jacket in Shinki horsehide for less than that shit
In general, what you're paying for is materials. Lambskin is probably the cheapest, then goatskin, then cowhide then horsehide is the priciest. After than you're paying for the patterns and then of course the quality and craftsmanship
A 2-3k jacket might be made of Shinki horsehide handcrafted in Japan and folded over 1 thousand times
A Schott jacket might be made of lambskin imported from an Argentinian tannery and sewn together in the USA
Are they both good jackets? Most likely yes, but horse is more expensive than lamb and then other factors go into it
That being said there is nothing wrong with Schott and I own one from them
