when will 90s fashion make a comeback
>>18352824this is still pretty much the style of the hiking world
>>18352824is the guy on the right the dude from dual survival or whatever that reality show was
>>18352838nevermind i read the filename
>>18352824I don't believe there are true "timeless" styles but the people in this pic are just wearing Tshirts and shorts m8
>>18352824It's been back for years
>>18352824these people all look based af
>>18352824I was born in 99' so I'm just speculating here, but did the 90s really have anything that interesting regarding fashion? From what I can tell people mostly dressed casual. There was some color but it wasn't particularly unique or aesthetic. People stopped dressing like anime villains after the 80s.
>>18352824Sooner than you think
>>18354232>90s>interestingIt had SOVL
>>18352824WHERE do I find 90s fit jeans? They're finally starting to sell jeans that aren't slim or skinny in stores, but only because they're extra wide skate culture y2k larp jeans for zoomers (which is actually still an improvement), but where should I look for just regular ass straight jeans with a higher rise for men? I was planning to buy some cowboy cut wrangler jeans but it's my understanding that they're fairly tight. I'm just looking for like one or two pairs of medium/stone wash jeans with a straight leg that's not zoomer wide nor skinny and not low rise. Is there anywhere to look for new jeans or do I need to go used? And if I go used does anyone know what brands and models I should be looking at?
>>18356388go where a shitton of people went in the 90s.the motherfucking GAP>inb4 muh fast fashion
? It's been making a comeback the last 10 years. All current trends are just recycled 90s trends. mostly 90s skate trends. Soon that'll be over and kids and nigger rappers will be dressing like bam margera and ali boulala mark my words.
>>18356408kek I just got some gap jeans as a gift from my parents but they're the slim stretch stuff. I'll ask if I can exchange them.Do you know if the "90s" stuff from the gap is just loose or if it also has a higher rise? I was looking at myself in my old navy poorfag jeans the other day and I realized the low rise on them made me look like SHIT. dumpy and ugly.I'm going to check the gap website right now
>>18352824I literally can't tell if this picture was taken today or the 90s.
>>18356388Levis 501 93's you retard. They have been around for 6 years.
>>18356436these actually have a lower rise than the gap's 90s loose fit. The levis have an 11.5" rise, and the gap 90s loose jeans have a 12.75" rise. For the 501 93's do you know if the pockets are high enough that when you sit down you can still reach into them, or do you sit on them?I was reading some threads in the archive about all this and now I'm obsessing over it
>>18356441That's the same rise as the 501s from 93. If you want higher rise than the 501s go with the gap.
>>18356458Fair enough, I'm completely unfamiliar with jean history stuff. I thought practically all mens jeans from that time were higher rise than that similar to how practically all mens jeans in the 2010s were pretty low-rise
>>18356460Honestly in the 80s and 90s jeans weren't that high rise. The 551z I have from the 60s are way higher than pic related. These jeans in seinfeld are probably 11 inch rise. No higher than 11.5.
>>18356462So I guess they stopped doing high rise more like in the 70s-80s than the 2000s. I am pretty short and I've noticed the higher rises look better on my frame. Same goes for vintage fit, cropped length jackets. Thanks for the info anon!
>>18356469I honestly think 11.5 is pretty high. It's more than most pants these days. It will look good with a tucked in shirt. I would say 11.5 is the "low" end of high rise.it will sit above your waist. I'm. Confused why the gap says below your waist at almost 13 inches. That's definitely way above.
>>18356481I already have one of their baggy carpenter jeans that says the rise is 12.75" online, I haven't measured it myself but it doesn't sit at a very high rise, it really feels just slightly higher than my other jeans. It looks a lot better with a tucked shirt than the other pairs I have though.
>>18356491Go try on some levis. They have em in store.
>>18356493Yeah I'll check them out
>>18356493How about I try on your levis bud
"dressing like the 90s" doesn't mean that you have to look like a toddler
Do you not remember normcore? Did you just start using /fa/ in the last year or something?
>>18352838Cody Lundeen. Pretty cool schizo hippie who knows his shit.
>>18352824Like 5 years ago?
>>18352824my late 90's clothes (baggy jeans, collared sport shirts) were oversized for me back then, so it should still fit me to this day. I'll check my storage room. kek
>>18352824i have dressed like this every day for the last 10 years. yes, i'm unemployed lol.
>>18354239this look would be perfect on me, where do i shop to dress like this?
