looks like its just washed, no weird distressing.
i don't mind washes at all on black denim for a few reasons. unless its yarn dyed shallow specifically for fading you never really get personalized contrast fades on black denim and most of the fading comes from the washing machine. i don't really mind when they do that from the factory for me.

What do we think about denim vests? Basically a type III without sleeves. Used to have one when I was yoinger and a metalhead. Had band patches sewn on it and either wore it over a tee or a leather jacket.

some "people" are just too lazy or stupid to cook for themselves. you can buy ingredients in the hood. its even easier to than in rich white neighborhoods because the hood usually has a sizable asian and hispanic population leading to a wider variety of ingredients being stocked at local grocers.

>NTA, but there’s tons of contention on this board about the modified trucker jackets with the handwarmer pockets.
you should go back and add "if you're not a guy who buys your jackets in tall size" before all my comments on that. i still prefer no pockets for a few reasons not just aesthetic (denim stretches and using the pockets makes the jacket bulge out in the belly area over time) but its really the length being too long to look ideal on most guys that i have a problem with.

more brands really ought to repro these things its a crime how few do. if you're into leather jackets you can afford vintage wool sport jackets easily but they don't get listed often.

>indigo duck canvas in a loose fit
look for indigo painters. some of them will be twill but a lot of them will be canvas. example: https://www.ebay.com/itm/396030306887

>raw denim jeans for construction work
if i was still doing res construction work i would wear sized up denim military dungarees/fatigues/work pants. whatever you want to call them. like pic related.
the fit is going to be a lot roomier, airier and easier to move around all day in than anything based on levis 501's.
you can get them a variety of places. there's budget options like bronson high end options like

>that allow movement so I can climb up on shit
>duck canvas
twill weave (denim) is generally better than canvas for active tasks because it breathes a lot better. i always associate canvas pants with stationary work like sitting in a workshop shooting grinder sparks at your legs all day. not to say you'd be wrong for going with canvas or anything its all personal preference.
>>
>>18358150

he's clearly wearing raws. look is impossible to replicate in a mass production setting. the only shortcut to that look is buying a used pair or vintage jeans. i'd also ask the seller to measure where the knee fade is so as to make sure the previous owner's fades match your body decently close. minor differences wont matter as they continue fading.
>>
>>18358168
Anon, you're being stupid. Those look like naturally faded jeans
The only way to get those is by... naturally fading jeans
There's no substitute that will look authentic. Stonewashed jeans and artificially aged stuff never looks the same
>>
>>18356660
bring back low-cut jeans. if you're a woman and don't like wearing them, you probably don't have the body for it.
>>
>>18358168
You're retarded. Do you wash your clothes?
>>
>>18358150

>>
>>18358174
>>18358176
>>18358178
ok but where do i buy a similar pair of raw baggy jeans to wear out
>>
>>18358176
>The only way to get those is by
used/vintage pairs too
just gotta ask the seller for a few extra measurements. as long as the last guy's thigh was about your size it works.

>>18358180
2 weeks is very frequent for denim especially if you're not a construction worker. its antimicrobial. do you wash wool every 2 weeks? no you wash it as needed for stains and never when unnecessary. denim you can be more lax on because the fabric gets nicer instead of shittier with repeat washings but the same logic applies. office guys who don't live in florida can probably go quite a long time without smell.
if you want fades like that pic you wanna go half way between the never wash and wash all the time crowd. 6-8mo for first wash 1-3mo after that wash sooner if needed of course.

>>18358189
look for 501 repros from a brand that's less on the slim side and size them up 1-2 for that look. let them sag ever so slightly like half an inch. fabric on his jeans looks like cone mills to me.
>>
>x months
whenever i give figures like that its with the assumption of an average modern sedentary lifestyle btw.
so if you're a tradie who wears your raws on he job those don't really apply to you. there's too much variance with activity levels and such to make approximations like that of how fast jeans will fade. theres union masonry guys on reddit who post 2 month fades that look like your average tradie's 2 year mark.

Retard, what makes women feminine is their wide and higher hips. High rise pants accentuate that. Having a longer torso is a masculine trait. Women have a much shorter torso. If you like women in low rise pants, then you're a flaming closeted faggot. That shit makes her look like a tranny.

lol.
100% wool lined wax jackets take 10-30 years to build up a stink typically.
unlined waxed jackets will never smell if properly maintained.
wax will oxidize and smell but the wax can be re-heated or the jacket can be re-waxed. only way they develop permanent smell is if you let the cotton mold from long term neglectful storage. its a problem with vintage jackets but not a new one you owned its entire life unless you're a retard.

repro/inspired jeans leave the tucked ends kind of long. slubby fabrics tend to fray easily bc there's less tension. it won't harm anything to just trim it carefully if it bugs you. if its thicker denim you may want actual fabric scissors or a brand new sharp pair of craft scissors.

>>18358938

I got a pair of n&f Shingami jeans in the tapered Easy Guy but I feel like i should have gotten the True Guy. Not sure about the taper.

Who looks good in a taper? I am 5'11" and skinny so I feel like it should work. Also it's hard to get my feet out of these things when I take them off.

Hey guys I'm new to the internet pants friend scene and was looking to get my first pair they need to have a 12" rise and a classic image.jpg Levi's 501 style fit and use the heavyiest denim available (so I can brag about how I'm wearing super ultra kaiju heavyweight denim not found in mallorca stores). 21 oz. is as low as I am willing to go, anything less is a copout for 3A Ashley Wood ThreeZero Kim Fung Wong 1/12 scale Action Portable poorfags. Khan was never my scene and that feel when too intelligent for low rise slim skinny selvage.

>Samurai's target market outside Japan has completely shifted as a result of retailers like Denimio and Okayama Denim presenting the brand quite differently from Blue In Green. Initially Samurai was one of the bolder/more adventurous brands that was pushing the limits (at the time) of what denim could do, but still somewhat grounded in vintage-inspired designs. Now they're one of the brands constantly doing weird stuff in response to the demand of those retailers/Instagram/Reddit. Very different from when Blue In Green was pretty much how you got them outside Japan - they presented the brand a lot better.
>I don't care for the "new" Samurai stuff but still quite like their classic models - I'm wearing a S3000vx for Indigo Invitational and really love the cut, denim, details (I need to get around to snapping some pics, been real lazy lately.) They don't feel too over the top and are an interesting blend of vintage inspiration and innovation. The S0510xx, S710xx, S3000vx, S5000vx are still (in my mind) iconic models and easy for me to recommend.

Here’s the s510xx. I typically fit really nice into samurai’s size 34 waists, but I ordered this size 35 so I can get a more relaxed thigh and just cinch the waist with a belt. The waist is definitely a little loose compared to my IH 634 size 35, but the belt completely eliminates any issue with sagging. To me, this is a perfect 60s 501 silhouette with a mid rise and minimal, balanced taper. Thigh width is exactly where I like it. Also, their 21 oz is arguably their best denim. Perfect amount of texture while still maintaining a soft, smooth touch and having a relatively loose weave. I like their 15 and 17 oz, but sometimes it’s just way too textured

You’re the anon with the 3000 zero denim, correct? How’s the 501 rise. My 5000 rise was lower than I normally liked but after it broke in I realized I like the low/mid ride for jeans. They hold better on my narrow swimmer hips.
>>
>>18358929

Non stretch denim options for tall skinny boys under $100? I've got a few pairs of Big John's, N&F, and Nudie (trash) but it's been fun trying other options. I bought jeans from Roundhouse and Wrangler that I like. Red Tornado seems cool but I'm a 30x34 and I don't think they stock my size. And recommendations?
>>
>>18360771
Yeah, I’m one of the s3000 and IH634 anons. I wear the s3000 in my actual normal waist size since the leg on that cut is already widened for my slightly thicker thighs. Compared to the s3000, the s510 (increased once in waist size to provide more of a relaxed leg) still has a slightly lower rise, but it is slightly higher than the IH634 in the same waist size. I actually owned the same pair of s510xx in size 34 a couple years ago which had fit my waist perfectly, but I ended up giving them to my brother because my thighs have gotten bigger in the last year due to squats and the jeans just ended up looking a little too tight and gay for my preference. What’s kind of weird is that the waist of my s510 measures 17” and the waist of my 634 measures like 17.2”, but the waist of my 634 feels a tiny bit more snug. This isn’t a deal breaker for me at all since I always wear belts even with my best fitting jeans, but I’m wondering if the lower rise of the 634 makes the top block fit a little more snug even though the waist is even just a tiny bit wider than the s510
