Do most women think long hair on a guy is immature, dirty or feminine even if he's rockstar-handsome or something? I wanna look sharp and mature but on the other hand wanna grow it out.
some women like itsome women don'tjust b urself
Most women dislike it, a few fetishize it when young.
>>18358462If it's short should I slick it back or does that generally make you look a bit older?
>>18358460This is very much true but women tend to be a lot more accepting of it than men, who tend to see it as the sign of a man who doesn’t have a hard job, either physically demanding or customer/employee facing
>>18358458In my experience some women REALLY like long hair but they are a minority, some are indifferent to it and some hate it. Meanwhile short hair is acceptable for pretty much all women. This being said only grow it out if you are relatively young, once you reach certain age it just looks cringe unless you are some kind of artist or musician or look like Jason Momoa
>>18358530>who tend to see it as the sign of a man who doesn’t have a hard jobi don't think that's true at all.plenty of long hair tied up underneath hardhats.
>>18358577>some women REALLY like long hair but they are a minorityI am this, To me long hair is preferrable in every case at every age, but ultimately: >>18358460 fpbp
>>18358458Trannys in california pc/ sny prison yards have long hair, clean shaven, kool aid lips, shirt tied up to look like a bra, skinny and wear shorts
odd how every time this question is asked, /fa/ generally says that long hair is niche and commonly considered unattractive or tranny-esque, yet every hair inspo thread is 99% long hair
>>18358458i have long hair that i dont take care of, swim in the ocean all the time and havent used shampoo or combed it in years. normie women are intrigued by it but when it boils down to it they are looking for a clean cut guy with a short normal hairstyle. ultimately i couldnt care less because im not attracted to normies anyway.
>>18358458ive been told by several women i look handsome, i get more smiles from rando women instead of terrified looks. idk if its the fucking hair or the confidence you get. old boomer coworkers think i should cut it that i look like a bum

>>18358458Long hair is PEAK, most women that prefer short hair are old hags.

>>18359049>Every exaggerated hair-focus thread is about hair>And the easiest examples of exaggerated focus on hair is long hair without haircuts for a long-termWow!I thought very short hair was niche and common and the perfect example of hair inspirations!
Long hair makes you more attractive if you're already attractive, and less attractive if you're ugly
>>18358458It will not work for everyone, but a way to mitigate negative opinions is to make an effort to dress more nicely, be more friendly, and be as productive a person as you could be. Long hair on men, pretty generally any length past medium-long, could carry quite a few stigmas to this day, even though history books agree that the 1960s and 1970s had already happened, decades ago. One of these stigmas relates to a stereotype of being a slacker or hippie. Another one would be that men with long hair are considered more dangerous, and probably into certain perceived anti-social music styles, or even part of a violent gang. Also, another stereotype is that long-haired men are effeminate-looking, and a way to most obviously offset that is to grow facial hair, and maybe control the length a bit so that it doesn't grow too much past around the upper chest. However, longer hair lengths for men have made a few inroads during the 2020s so far, in contrast to the very short hair trends of the 2010s. The 2020 and 2021 pandemic times made a lot of men and boys miss their usual haircut appointments, and a lot of these ended up staying with slightly longer lengths than previously, if still within a short to medium hair length range.
>>18359397By medium-long, I generally mean a hair length that could fall into one of these categories, maybe even slightly longer than those haircuts, but not too much.
>>18358458you already lost by caring what anyone thinks
It's gross and you look like you don't have basic hygiene standards
>itt: extremely avg males who think hair long enough to hit sightline is "long," think it's only possibly long because of neglect/laziness versus another display of maintenance/self-care, and larp from the female perspective on whether it's "attractive" or not
>>18358530>he's not a wagie ickno woman ever said this
I'm fighting this internally right now.I used to have long hair a few years ago (went 6yrs of growth, to mid-back) and it was glorious. But I was also younger, prettier, and healthier overall.Ended up cutting it, regretting it, and swore that I'd do it again someday. Now I'm about 9 months in and at the annoying, middle stage where it looks and feels like shit. Short hair is so easy and convenient, fuckMy shit is wavy/curly too; detangling can be a bitch at the ends. Thanks for reading my blog.

if you have long hair most people will assume you are unemployed or have a shitty job (or multiple shitty jobs). yes, some people find it attractive but that's the minority.
I think it looks smart (assuming it's well kept of course). Some people are definitely not gonna like it though and they'll often act like you want to hear all about it. Some will also jump to conclusions about you because long hair on men is associated with certain subcultures. I suggest you don't pay them any attention and do what you want regardless.Aside from personal preferences there is a couple more good impressions that long hair can leave.>suggests you have commitment and discipline>suggests you aren't desperate to conform at all costs and that you have a personalityIt won't come across as dirty if it's not dirty. Don't neglect to wash and brush your hair regularly and get split ends trimmed every now and then. Good luck>>18358460>just b urself
The real "problem" with long hair is that dudes aren't raised to know how to mind after it like women are. Men tend to not know jack shit the amount of work it takes to keep your hair looking nice and VERY sorely underestimate how much time you spend messing with it.THAT is what women find UNattractive -- your unkempt hair reflects your values.I don't think I've ever seen a single man irl who looks like he is taking good care of his hair. Yes, it does actually require the multiple shampoos, the multiple conditioners, going to a hair salon every few months, the works. It does.Really. I have 4 different shampoos in my shower right now, 3 different conditioners, 2 different leave in condis at different weights, 3 different hair gels, aquanet hairspray, and a multipack of combs + a boar bristle brush. You really do have to tease it, brush it, touch it, shampoo it correctly, keep clips and ties on you, the works. Or it looks shit.Hell, if your hair is really long, you may want two DIFFERENT shampoos for your scalp and ends. When I had 4ft of hair this was the case. There's really good reasons why most cultures simply asked women to braid, bun, and then COVER their hair because it is very hard to keep hair tidy. Silicones & sulfates in shampoos was lifechanging for most Type 1 thru 3 hair textures and helped modernize the styles we have now. So if you're not going to take care of it, just admit it and keep it short. Do not grow your hair down to your nipples and continue to use 3 in 1 or a hardcore Suave clarifying shampoo every single day. Different products do different things. You have to commit or you will cook either your hair, your reputation, or both, and all will end in cutting your hair and looking incompetent to everyone else.
>>18359398very funny that this is considered medium length. I see these all as short. >>18359529Stick with it anon, you'll be happy you did. Now in the mean time, focus on getting healthy and fit. It will translate to glorious hair health too. >>18359939Dear god please stop it with the reddit spacing. It's okay to write a paragraph or two. Otherwise everything you've written is mostly true except that you've made it sound like an impossible task to learn to take care of your hair. In practice it only amounts to about ~10mins a day on hair care, and maybe an added 5-10mins to your in-shower time. It's not that hard. >I don't think I've ever seen a single man irl who looks like he is taking good care of his hair. I have, they exist. Don't be such a downer.
I have yet to meet someone with long hair in person that doesn’t look like a bum or unhygienic faggot. It also symbolizes low status. No man should be rocking long hair past the age of 12 and all will always look better with medium fades, comb overs, mid parts , slick backs, buzz cuts, etc. the only thing having long hair beats is being bald
>>18358458long haired metal guy here.Chicks love long hair for the most part. You just gotta buy the right shampoo/conditioner, develop a good cleaning schedule (depending on how much physical work I'm doing/sheets are clean/pillow is clean, I wash twice a month, condition as needed, but mostly wash as needed, as well), and care routine. What they don't like is stinky fat faggots with shaggy, greasy unwashed hair.

>>18359939brah brah over here wasting time and money he could be spending on nice clothes, vinyl & CDs etc.pic rel. is all I use. I swear by it, and it's cost effective, I pay no more than $25 every 2-3 months at my local beauty supply for all three products. Even works for facial hair. Try it if you can find it.
>>18360074This is just something that gets under my skin, because it's true, it really only takes that extra 15m every shower to really mind after it, and I stg, I really haven't seen a single motherfucker take that effort. So many dudes are comfortable rocking greasy or over / under using product, or end up with 3ft of hair that's always in their face or unflattering because they think touching their hair or putting it up makes them a faggot. >>18360104God I wish lmao. That's a great suggestion fr but I have textured hair and have settled on products that work for my mutt hair. I do hope this helps someone else though
>>18359939theres some truth in this, but it all comes down to experimenting and find what works for you. what works for me? use little shampoo only on my scalp, then conditioner on the long strands. i wash it every day and it works for me. if i go a day or two w/o shampoo my scalp gets dry. i tried it for months during the pandemic. everyone was like oh dont wash it etc. nope not for me
>>18359939You are so wrong it's insane. No man wants his hair to look soft and perfectly straight like a woman's. The less you do about your hair the cooler it looks as a man. Just wash often and don't be disgusting.
I've had long hair my whole life. never had a girl tell me it looks bad. many were indifferent but some REALLY like it. a girl told me that long hair is a cheat code, but she's wrong. pretty face is a cheat code
>>18359939braindead take. all of this is bullshit and lies that are sold to you by cosmetic companies. natural hair looks fine.
>>18358458Femoid here>immatureNo, if it's properly taken care of then no, but it also depends on your overall aesthetic>dirtyNo, unless it looks greasy or you have dreadlocks as a white guy>feminineIt is somewhat feminine but this might work with your features and style. Only Boomers still believe in muh trad gender roles>>18358460/thread>>18358465Depends on your hairline desu
>>18358458Long hair on men is like short hair on women. It works great if you're ruggedly handsome and have strong, masculine facial features. (For women, the inverse: short hair works if you are conventionally pretty and have feminine facial features.) Also, some men just don't have the right hair to pull off long styles; if you have thin hair or a receding hairline, you'll basically be one Unix beard away from looking like a full-blown wizard. Proceed with caution.
