Where do I get non overpriced merino wool socks and basewear and shit.
everytime I look up merino socks it's from the perspective of some guy who hikes a trillion miles a day, I don't need 60 dollar socks that can last the Bataan death march, I need socks that are warm.

All merino is overpriced because companies always take advantage of the hype and it’s the most overhyped fabric in the world right now, at least until wool mesh takes over in the next year thanks to being pushed by social media (watch for this). I buy my merino wooo from Woolx. It’s not cheap but it’s held up so far.

you american? kirkland signature. they only come in boot length and they only last a year or two before they pull but they're warm fluffy and cost $4 per pair.
the high end hiking ones are definitely not what you want. they're made to last forever not to be fluffy and soft. i wear both.

and this is a good thing. i've been wearing it in the backcountry and singing its praises for a decade. better warmth to weight ratio and much more durable than wovens, which i'm constantly having to darn the way i abuse them.

Have you bought the Kirkland socks recently? Everywhere is saying that they suck now.

Huh, the mens sock is 57% wool, and they used to be 72% wool in previous years.
The ladies merino socks are 85% wool though and cost the same price... Oh I guess they're thinner than the mens socks apparently. How much thinner... who knows

Now I want to get wool mesh if you guys say it's good.

Well after reading up on this for a could hours
All this wool vs polyester stuff all seems more confusing than I thought now. Well like I said originally, just looking up wool only gets you info from people hiking or mountain climbing or whatever. Does the moisture wicking properties of wool really matter if you're not doing strenuous activity out in the rain and snow?
Mesh doesn't seem to make sense for that reason

I wonder about this airmesh thing
