Now that i ordered this shitter it tell me, what is the rarest watch you own? Mine would be this although i don't know how rare it is since it was supposed to be a 900 piece run, but Vostok jews saw how popular it is and extented the run to 2000 pieces and knowing them it won't be the last time.

Actually going by current prices on hamilton's site, the murph 38mm is $895 & the intra-matic with the 2892-A2 is the exact same price. Other colors for the intra-matic are more though for some reason.
>>
>>18367996
Yeah but that's the shittiest most unwanted intramatic. People only like the chronographs. Nobody likes those while the murph was memed from intersteller and they even made a baby version at 38mm with 18mm band by popular demand.
>>
>>18367997
The point is they can afford to put a 2892-A2 in an $895 watch, so why can't they for another $895 watch? It's not like the murph is that much more extravagantly finished than the intra-matic.
>>
>>18367999
I think 80hrs vs 40hrs is a bigger selling point than 3hz vs 4hz for a field watch desu
>>
>>18368004
Yea I guess, but I would've preferred the higher grade movement even if it had less PR. Makes me wonder how hard it would be to just do a movement swap with the murph.
>>
>>18368005
Laco lets pick the grade of 2824-2 on their website which is neat. You can also choose to make it lefty and if you want double AR. I just think it's a swatch thing to not give the customer whatever they want.

It's definitely a design choice they're making, they like the shininess the glare gives the pieces. Once you get used to it it's actually not so bad, you just have to get used to holding it at a certain angle when you check the time so that it won't just mirror the ceiling lights at you.

I'm thinking of getting either a Sinn 556 RS or the previous Tudor BB36 for Rolex Explorer cope.

The Sinn is a little more interesting with the red hand and the date. The old Black Bay 36 would be more comfortable with a better bracelet. The Tudor I could get for about 2k, the Sinn is about 1200ish. Anything else I can look at in that 36mm to 38mm size?

you're definitely right as it is officially considered a "yachting watch" which is more related to sailboat racing than scuba diving. it's offered in a smaller 37mm size and is slightly thinner than a 124060 so it is possibly more wearable for my faggy wrists (never tried one on yet). might look cool on a rubber strap as well

What else should I consider around that 2k price point? I'm pretty boring and my wrist is small. Have a Tissot Gentleman I put on a jubilee which would be great but 40mm is just too big for me. I've got a 34mm longines dress watch and a casioak.

It's going to be for everyday in the office, home, secret gay liasons etc.

I bought a Hamilton khaki field (38mm) for work. My Timex expedition that's about 8 years old now is totally fucked. Loses an hour a day and its a quartz watch. Battery replacements don't work. I also have a Hyakuichi 101 that I wore a ton, but over time I realized I'm not a huge fan of huge watches like that. Only got it because it said submarine on it, and I was stationed on a sub. Didn't know what a dive watch was.

Thanks for reading my blog.
