Now that i ordered this shitter it tell me, what is the rarest watch you own? Mine would be this although i don't know how rare it is since it was supposed to be a 900 piece run, but Vostok jews saw how popular it is and extented the run to 2000 pieces and knowing them it won't be the last time.

Is Tissot PRX quartz a good entry level watch ? I really like the minimalistic design.
>>18367374Yes. But try them on before buying they wear bigger and more uncomfortable than you'd think.

>>18367683I really don't understand why even Citizen still uses 8 series miyota movements in their own watches in current year when even most microbrands buying miyota movements are using 9 series movements in their watches.

>>18367979>It's biggest problem is it has no ar coating. Not the powermatic 80 movement?
>>18367986It's $750
>>18367988A few years ago that would've bought you a 2892-A2 movement, from hamilton no less.
>>18367985I like this seestern.
>>18367992I know but we didn't make up a super cold and then print $14T globally over it, driving up inflation and awarding the asset class free money. A normal khaki pilot was like $300 10 years ago
>>18367993Those keep selling out but I do I like the other color of it
>>18367994Actually going by current prices on hamilton's site, the murph 38mm is $895 & the intra-matic with the 2892-A2 is the exact same price. Other colors for the intra-matic are more though for some reason.
>>18367996Yeah but that's the shittiest most unwanted intramatic. People only like the chronographs. Nobody likes those while the murph was memed from intersteller and they even made a baby version at 38mm with 18mm band by popular demand.
>>18367997The point is they can afford to put a 2892-A2 in an $895 watch, so why can't they for another $895 watch? It's not like the murph is that much more extravagantly finished than the intra-matic.
>>18367999I think 80hrs vs 40hrs is a bigger selling point than 3hz vs 4hz for a field watch desu
>>18368004Yea I guess, but I would've preferred the higher grade movement even if it had less PR. Makes me wonder how hard it would be to just do a movement swap with the murph.
>>18368005Laco lets pick the grade of 2824-2 on their website which is neat. You can also choose to make it lefty and if you want double AR. I just think it's a swatch thing to not give the customer whatever they want.

>>18368010>I just think it's a swatch thing to not give the customer whatever they want. They're trying to come up with what a majority of the customers want.More people apparently want a slow beat, 80 hour power reserve than want a high beat 40 hour power reserve.
>>18368132Good price.Doesn't look like a 32 on your wrist, looks perfect actually.
>>18368133I do also think most people buying a hamilton field watch would like power reserve over accuracy. But for fucks sake put ar coating on it.

>>18368324Rolex doesn't make new watches. They've been coasting for 70 years. How can they be uglier these days.

>>18368564It's definitely a design choice they're making, they like the shininess the glare gives the pieces. Once you get used to it it's actually not so bad, you just have to get used to holding it at a certain angle when you check the time so that it won't just mirror the ceiling lights at you.

I'm thinking of getting either a Sinn 556 RS or the previous Tudor BB36 for Rolex Explorer cope. The Sinn is a little more interesting with the red hand and the date. The old Black Bay 36 would be more comfortable with a better bracelet. The Tudor I could get for about 2k, the Sinn is about 1200ish. Anything else I can look at in that 36mm to 38mm size?
>>18369589Sinn 556 is the most boring looking watch in the world why the fuck would you want it.

>>18369602Sorry bro but you didn't get the gold so you cant
>>18369385>fashion watch larping as a diveryou're definitely right as it is officially considered a "yachting watch" which is more related to sailboat racing than scuba diving. it's offered in a smaller 37mm size and is slightly thinner than a 124060 so it is possibly more wearable for my faggy wrists (never tried one on yet). might look cool on a rubber strap as well
>>18369613I love how gaudy these are. If you're going to buy a rolex it should be loud
>>18369591What else should I consider around that 2k price point? I'm pretty boring and my wrist is small. Have a Tissot Gentleman I put on a jubilee which would be great but 40mm is just too big for me. I've got a 34mm longines dress watch and a casioak. It's going to be for everyday in the office, home, secret gay liasons etc.
I bought a Hamilton khaki field (38mm) for work. My Timex expedition that's about 8 years old now is totally fucked. Loses an hour a day and its a quartz watch. Battery replacements don't work. I also have a Hyakuichi 101 that I wore a ton, but over time I realized I'm not a huge fan of huge watches like that. Only got it because it said submarine on it, and I was stationed on a sub. Didn't know what a dive watch was. Thanks for reading my blog.
