Why are people hyping up walmart jeans?
I love my jeans!
>>18370281i bought a pair of raw rustlers bootcut for like 13 bucks and they're great. They bleed dye like crazy but I like the fit a lot and they're 100% cotton. they bleed dye like crazy though
>>18370321the coal black ones are nice too. they fade very slowly and low contrast. >>18370281>https://files.catbox.moe/g8r7ir.jpg>costs the same as a #1 meal>raw, 1 wash, stone wash, black sulfur dyed>better fit than a lot of japanese stuff
>>18370225Got some new jeans and they're being dye all over my sneakers. Not complaining, I think it looks kind of cool, and I can always just wash it off. At what point do new jeans usually stop bleeding?
Why was this thread made? There is already a denim & workwear general.
>>18370408same i love how denim crocking looks on some shoes. suckers pay $600 for golden goose sneakers with imitation crocking, so we're not crazy. it can look really cool to intentionally let your jeans bleed all over white, ecru or some light color canvas sneakers. especially on more long lasting ones where the upper will get a chance to age. >At what point do new jeans usually stop bleeding?depends so much on the fabric, and how much it rains and how humid it is where you live. sometimes a couple weeks sometimes a couple months sometimes several washes. rinsing your jeans can reduce it without many downsides. >>18370413that's a shitposting thread.
>>18370415>that's a shitposting thread. What do you mean? I mean, there is one ranting and raving deranged schizo but otherwise it seems fine
>>18370418oh you mean the insane guy who keeps spamming "schizo schizo schizo schizo" over and over but doesn't own any jeans or know anything about fashion and hasn't touched a crumb of pussy? just ignore that eunuch. lmao. 4xha = ha ha ha ha captcha
>>18370420That is very interesting. Can you tell me more about that?
>>18370225Is Levi's still good?
>>18370431no.some of the lvc stuff can be worth buying if you find it at steep discount, mostly the pre distressed stuff. but you have to know the garment you're buying -- some of its good, some of its really inaccurate. den in denim on youtube is a good resource for that sort of thing.
>>18370437Not even the regular cuts?
>>18370439theres better for the price. the current year 501 cut sucks for a variety of reasons. some of the cuts like the 93 501 are better. you can get better jeans elsewhere for the price or even just go on ebay/etsy/thrift sites and get 1970s to 1990s era vintage levi's for about the same price as levi's.if your inseam is like 32 or shorter just get red tornado ww2/55501's. they cost the same as the cheap levi's if you wait for an aliexpress sale and they are nicer than their lvc counterparts by quite a bit.
>>18370444Thanks I'll try that
>>18370446autism option:if you have some time to lurk ebay and shit, learn a little about dating vintage levi's and snag a pair from the first few years of when they switched from big E to small e. the fit was still pretty good and the fabric quality is more akin to the 60s era vintage jeans. with some free time and luck you can snag a pair no one bids on for less than levis at the mall cost.
good strategy for budget _vintage_ type 3 jackets too. they still fit like the 60s jackets in the early 70s and had nice fabric. easiest way to date those is look at the vertical stitch at the bottom center of the jacket by the button. single stitch = 71-72, double stitch = 73 on to somewhere in the 80s. tons of resellers list the single stitch ones without knowing what they are & auctions can be won super low.
the 1970s levi's sherpa truckers also get listed for way under value commonly and there's a lot of dead stock looking ones out there. going rate for dead stock looking ones is $200 but they can be sniped $20-50 without much effort. retardedly good deal for anons who want a warm nice looking jacket. generous fit that lets you layer. lean towards sizing big. synthetic liner but warm, and you can wash it.
>>18370450fuck 1 thing i forgot. with vintage levi's jackets always check WOMEN'S listings. a lot of resellers see the shorter length -> tag is unreadable -> listed as women's -> no one bids/buys it -> insane dealz. this happens a lot with sz40 and lower jackets especially.
>>18370462>>18370448I'll check that out then
>>18370420Literally all you have to do is not respond to him and then threads would not be derailed every single time by you bickering back and forth like a woman
I wore a pair of Wrangler Cowboy Cuts to a local store that sells selvedge and told them I wanted a pair of Wranglers but selvedge. They sold me a pair of Freenote wilkes cut in 15oz indigo and honestly it's a perfect fit. Highly recommend if you love 13MWZ but want selvedge. Also picked up a pair of Sugar Cane workpants in this super cool ultra colorful slub denim, currently being hemmed at the store so no fit pic but the pictures don't do the material justice.
>>18370572Which store? I’ll make sure to travel to your locality and rape you
>>18370572Can you post side by side measurements? The size chart on Freenote's site makes them look slimmer in the leg and wider in the waist than 13mwz
>>18370595yeah gimme like 20 min
>>18370595here you go, not a true 1 to 1 since I wear a 32x34 Wrangler and bought a size 33 in Freenote
>>18370621Hell yeah, cheers anon! One last thing- how'd you take the thigh measurements?
>>18370628I sort of sloppy followed the Fit Guide from Ciano Farmer, I went an inch down from the center crotch seam and measured across. Please don't consider these measurements as gospel, I'm not a professional
>>18370633All good! I also wear a lot of Wranglers so I just wanna have a standard of reference. Thanks!
>>18370639Now what are you on about boy?
>>18370225Belts piss me off. don't get me wrong, they look cool as fuck, but suspenders are objectively better at holding your pants up. Belts hardly get the job done, no matter how tight you buckle it, they will slip down when you sit. They will slip down slowly as the day passes. Am I supposed to be pulling my pants up every single time I stand back up?? Image not me btw problem is not that bad
I can't find ecru white selvedge denim with a high rise. Any recs?
Thoughts on UES? never see them mentioned here.
>>18370826They are mentioned sometimes. Generally seen as a good value.
>>18370826Sounds like this particular shirt isn't selvedge, if that matters to you.
>>18370621What pen/ink?
>>18370826havent tried on one of their denim shirts but i like their flannels better than ih. they have more less-safe flannel patterns which is appealing if you already have a bunch of neutral ones.
>>18370792belts stay better if you don't have a gut (a bit of belly's fine) wear high rise, and wear the belt above not on your hips. with a little planning you can size your belts to be appropriate length worn both ways. i agree with you on suspenders. taking style out of the equation and thinking from a strictly autistic function > * perspective, going from things like suspenders with sartorial waistbands to belts was a downgrade. suspenders let you wear looser fit pants and essentially up-size them a lot more than you can with a belt, without it looking odd when worn. they fell out of favor as guys started favoring slimmer fits that just didn't necessitate it, and grew used to the utility of having a thing around their waist that can support weight. obvious advantages for tradies, people who carry firearms etc.
>>18371046Holy smokes. Reduce yapping please.
>>18370462>with vintage levi's jackets always check WOMEN'S listings. a lot of resellers see the shorter length -> tag is unreadable -> listed as women's ->Can confirm back in like 2009 i got a late 60s type 3 on eBay listed as a women's jacket for like $40
>>18371115i just missed one in my size that went for $8 on shopgoodwill last week. i had things come up that day rip.
No one? >>18370819
