I bought the Seiko from Chrono24 brand new. Do not buy from there. The watch keeps terrible time, and the crown is so finnicky and u have to try multiple times to get it to screw in properly. I'm never using Chrono24 again, it's online so what can i do?
>>18540937
>>18541007You do realize Chrono24 is just the shop portal, right? I'd bet the seller even clearly stated the condition but you just searched for the watch you want and sorted by price asc.

No hate, but I'd rather buy an Omega than a Tudor any day of the week. Tudor's association with Rolex is both a blessing and a curse. Yeah it's "basically the same watch" and all, but in the same vein it'll never be able to shake the "cope Rolex" image either. To people not in the know, it's just another brand they've never heard of, and to people that are in the loop you're just a coper that had to settle for #2. Not that Omega is ALL that different, it's all cope at the end of the day, but at least with Omega being a different company you can make up a lie that you agree with their mission or vision more or whatever and some people might buy that.
>>18541497>No hate, but I'd rather buy an Omega than a Tudor any day of the week. Respectable but I personally (subjective) wouldn't be able to justify paying so much for a Chinese watch. That's why I'd go for Tudor personally. If you don't care about the country of origin then sure, omegas look cool.
>>18541498that's a pretty serious accusationhave anything to back it up pal?
want to get into watchmaking, where do I start? I'm already changing batteries for friends and I have some basic tools, but it's far from a professional workshop. Would like to go more into that direction, first as a hobby, later as something that I could do to spice up the day during retirement

>>18541770Problem is, the new locomotive is 100 times better than the original one.
>>18541771And neither original or new is any good.Have some self-respect, don't get memed into buying Genta's hasty napkin sketch.
You don't realize it, but the Credor Locomotive is a future Genta classic.you need to study watch making history and Gerald Genta's career. You'll see his own brand didn't succeed, but his designs for other brands got wide acclaim and popularity. Gerald Gents was a revolutionary and way ahead of his time. Watches designed by him got initial criticism, but ended up being THE most prominent classics today. The Credor Locomotive is no different. What you're looking at is a untapped gold mine, guaranteed to be highly appreciated and sought after in the future. It, quite literally, is an investment.Never let the initial criticism get to you when it comes to Genta and Genta -esque watches.
Collectors think so little of seiko that even when they release an authentic genta designed integrated sports watch it gets zero hype unlike literally all the swiss ones that keep effortlessly printing money, it's kind of embarrassing.
>>18541821Read my post above and wait. Also Credor is not Seiko.Remember that the supply is always limited. What do you think will happen after Credor has sold out on their LIMITED edition Locomotive? After the genius of Genta starts once again raking in interest in the grey market? You need to act now if you want your share of the pie. Then again some people never see the truth and no amount of reasoning and historical evidence can convince them otherwise..If you are one of those individuals, all I can wish for you is for you to enjoy the shadows on the cave wall.
>>18541827seiko credor is seikodidn't read the rest

>>18541836because rolex and tudor are different brands
>>18541838Now you are getting it.
Personally I think it was a bold move from Credor to utilise a classic Swiss Genta design. It will surely go down in history as a classic and will signify a turning point for Credor, elevating the brand even further in international eyes.

If they just wore a cheap watch to be able to say that they don't ball out and get fancy maybe that's one thing, but swatches are $80-120 or more for a product that by all accounts has no right to be more than $10 so they're still kind of flexing that they can violently overpay for a shitter with trendy branding and pictures on it.If you're wealthy and wear casio or timex that's understandable.

The Credor Locomotive stands as a true testament to visionary watchmaking, destined to become a future Genta classic and a coveted collector’s gem. Drawing inspiration from the revolutionary designs of Gerald Genta—whose groundbreaking creations initially faced skepticism but ultimately defined modern luxury—the Locomotive embodies that same forward-thinking spirit, blending innovative aesthetics with impeccable craftsmanship. Unlike other brands, Credor is not just another name but a symbol of meticulous artistry, and this limited edition piece underscores that exclusivity, making it an exceptional investment opportunity. History has shown that Genta-inspired designs tend to appreciate immensely over time, and the Locomotive is no exception; it’s poised to soar in desirability once supply runs out and the market recognizes its true value. Dismissing this masterpiece based on fleeting criticisms ignores the timeless significance of Genta’s influence, which has cemented itself as a hallmark of horological excellence. The limited availability guarantees rarity, and with the genius of Genta once again awakening interest in the secondary market, owning the Locomotive now secures a front-row seat to future appreciation. For true connoisseurs and forward thinkers, this watch is more than a timepiece—it’s an investment in history, innovation, and prestige. Don’t let skepticism hold you back from claiming your stake in this extraordinary piece, because, as with all legendary designs, the real value lies ahead.
