First for Whites
I want these. Thought they were absolutely hideous at first but they grew on me and now I really want a pair
>>18552504do it. way more interesting than a PTB
Just got an email that my black horsehide Wesco 7500s are completed. Just in time for the rainy season
>order brown boots from china>get red clown bootslol, lmao even
Looking to get my second pair of boots. Any recommendations for what style of boot would look good with these fatigue pants? I've got a couple of pairs from orslow and they are pretty much all I wear now, but for some reason I don't think they look that good with these brown beckmans. Maybe the color? Budget is around $700-900.
>>18552585something in darker chocolate brown or a lighter tan. this medium brown is mehalso naked and famous?
>>18552580oxblood is a classic and quite versatile
>>18552585parkhurst 645
Choose my next pickup for me
>>18552588A darker brown or dark oxblood would be a good idea, especially since I might be able to use it for more business casual events every now and then. The White's semi dress in particular looks really good, but I'm a bit on the fence about the heel. And no these are the orslow regular fit fatigues.>>18552594I was looking at Parkhurst a lot actually, although it was the Allen 618 in this burgundy color rather than the 645. I'm just concerned that they may look a bit too similar to what I have already.
>>18552601618 is the furthest thing from what you need
>>18552601i don't know if white's still has this oxblood water buffalo available, but the pair i have is the perfect shade. the heel thing is overblown imo, especially if you just get the block heelhttps://emptygarage.jp/SHOP/WHITESSTOCK253.html
>>18552593brother that is not oxblood. this>>18552605is oxblood this>>18552580 is clown red
dont shout at meits a brg stuation
>>18552603Is it because they're too sleek?>>18552605That does look quite good, they don't seem to have it on their website but I'll have to look around.
>>18552601the wacky giant welt contrasting with the darker vamp looks hideous
Had a pair of hitec boots for 20 years, resoled them plenty of times never took care of the leather it is finally perishing on me, I’d like something similar (6 lug with the top two being speed lugs or whatever theyre called) thats good quality and repairable
>>18552498Where to get overshirts like this?
>>18552679https://divisionroadinc.com/blogs/bulletin/the-genuine-article
>>18552611>this >>18552605 is oxbloodIt's not. They don't even call it that. Oxblood is a dark maroon color and gets a red patina as it ages. Your Ronalds are more oxblood than the dark cherry that you're calling oxblood.
>>18552621I miss the red welts so much
>>18552600Go with the pair you don't have one (or a lot) of. No chelseas? Go with the chelsea. Got some chelseas? Then go with the lace up.
>>18552810I dream of having a chesterfield in the study/library of my country estate. Thanks for reading my blog.
Which boots have a high hill or a thick sole in general? I need to balance out my manletness a little tiny bit
>>1855317055 last, lug sole
Anyone else with big feet find it hard to wear certain styles? Chelseas always look like clown shoes for me even when they're a perfect fit (US 13)
i now deeply regret not getting the arch support option on my ny parkies
>>18553423>>18553412Because white people are clowns
Smooth, rough out or suede? Why?
Never had Thorogoods before. Are these worth it?
>>18553423>arch supporttrain your feet and your legs american>>18553444All 3. Why not, whichever I like on the boot and want for the collection at the time.
>>18553412I feel that chelseas can easily look clownish depending on the last and how the toe is shaped. There's nothing to distract from the smooth, flat exterior, and that would be magnified the bigger your size. I think you could still make them work, but you'd need to find the right shape or get the toe unstructured.
>>18552504here's a very similar pair for a lot less: https://kleman-france.com/en/42308598.html
>>18553524>Are these worth it?They're generally well-regarded by workfags. Too few negative reviews to blame construction or QC.Bootfags don't care for them.
>>18553763Because people actually use those for work. Those of us who wear mocs for fashion wear 875s.
>>18553524i hate the white sole
new grant stone
>>18553862chocolate suede always looks so much better in photos than in person
Is suede really that bad for rain?
>>18553994No but rain is bad for suede
>>18553994Here.
>>18553524you're better off with the RW 875
American boondocker vs britbong service boots?
Why are dianite soles a red flag in the OP?
>>18554053the inherent design leads to hydroplaning the moment the extruding studs are worn away, making them extremely ineffective in both urban and non urban usage
>>18554053They're not, the person that made the OP is trolling and it just became tradition to copy it each thread Dainite is very hard, some might find it uncomfortable to stand on all day, but the biggest issue with dainite is the lack of grip when it rains or snows. I've fallen on my ass from dainite several timesOtherwise, it's good. Very durable and long lasting. My Whites with dainite are are the same sole 7 years later
>>18554053they have worse traction than vibram>>18554055>you fall over when it rains or snows>otherwise it's gooddude
>>18554053I think they're great. Look good and long lasting. I've never fallen on my ass while wearing them and I've used dainite soles all year-round. Not as good as commando soles in the snow obviously but not so bad that I can't wear them in the winter. I've even noticed one aspect where they're actually better than treaded soles in the winter, and that is when it's snowy outside and you go inside. Sometimes for the first few steps when you walk inside it feels like you're trying to walk with two ice cubes under your feet because of all the compressed snow in the treads. Nothing gets stuck on dainites though so I've never slipped while inside with them.>tl;dr no sole is great for all 4 seasons but dainite is great during 3 of them and op is a faggotI'm gonna try buy a new pair of boots for this winter though without dainite soles. They're pretty cold too though since they have no treads that keep you off the cold ground.
>>18554077so don't wear them in the snow. problem solved, retard
or you could just buy boots with regular treads and wear them in whatever weather
>>18554152did you miss the rain part retard?dainite soled boots are infuriating because boots are perfect for rain and then they put a fucking dainite sole on them and I can't wear them in the rain anymore or I'll slip on my fashionable ass
>>18554053Half the op is a shitpost that's grown with time to make it so the only reasonable boot to get if you follow all the rules is a PNW logger.
Any recommendations for oxfords around the $250 price point? I wouldn't be wearing them often, just need something a bit more formal for work events.
>>18554161>I can't wear them in the rain anymore or I'll slip on my fashionable assSounds like a you problem. Have you considered not being clumsy uncoordinated faggot? I bet it'll probably solve 90% of your issues with navigating a concrete sidewalk in dainite soles.
>>18554053Nothing really. OP is just being a faggot as per usual. They probably had a bad experience doing something stupid and chose to blame the soles. Truth is lots of highend bootmakers have used it and it shouldn't be a deal-breaker for a pair you like if you're not planning on hiking or roofing in them or something. Ignore OP. He is a fag.
i lost 4 friends to dainite on rainy tile
>>18552498how long or how many wears do you guys think it should take to break in boots?i bought some kommandostore repro paramemes forever ago. i've worm them occasionally to try to break them in, but they never seem to get any comfier.they're super tight around the bridge of my foot (on the diagram) and that never seems to loosen up, not sure if they need to be broken in even harder or i just sized wrong (ordered my usual size but i have very weird feet).
>>18554417i will usually do a few hours a day every day for a week. so maybe 24 hours of wear? give or takei don't wear them for full days immediately. i did that with my iron rangers and regretted it
>>18554309I am an athletic coordinated no homo faggot and I've still slipped in dainitetry living in a country that has real rainfall and a few hills
>>18554417>how long or how many wears do you guys think it should take to break in boots?enough,1-2hours on the first dayand then increasing on the subsequent days (don't have to be in a row) until I can wear them for the whole day(or at least 8 hourse around the house>they're super tight around the bridge of my foot (on the diagram) and that never seems to loosen up, not sure if they need to be broken in even harder or i just sized wrong (ordered my usual size but i have very weird feet).no, that's just sometimes a thing with lace up bootsdarn tough has socks with reinforcments in that specific area as a consideration or just wear thicker wool if you can manage
>>18554417Maybe you have a high bridge? It can happen sometimes. Search online for ways to lace your boots in a way that'll be less tight in that area. BTW, something similar happened to me with my paramemes and had to size up. Maybe it's the last.
oh to have the confidence to wear these daily
>>18554417Really depends on the boot. I have had boots that took no time to break in and some that took weeks before they were comfortable enough to wear all day. I've got an insanely high instep and corresponding bridge, and I hate to tell you this but they might just not work for you. You can try alternative lacing styles, but some boots just don't accommodate a higher foot. I've wasted plenty of money on boots that were perfect in every other way, but the instep was a deal breaker.
Thoughts on these Oldspeed boots?
Can someone please share the boot brand matrix (formal, casual, etc.)? Děkuji.
