>>18557521I actually cracked up when she tried to justify the price tags, consider that I know for a fact that niche houses only spend 10-15% more on ingredients at most (!) compared to designer houses. The price difference is primarily due to economics of scale. Meh, I've seen worse. Some wasted their working hours (and by extention life) on NFTs.

Guys, I want some genuine advice here. I want to build a fragrance collection of a total 4 fragrances. What would you guys recommend me? I already have Abercombie & Fitch Fierce and it gives me far more compliments than friends wearing Parfum De Marly Layton and Green Irish Tweed by Creed. It's almost empty though. Also, I happen to care about compliments, so keep that in mind. If you've ever had a woman giving you that "ahh omg you smell so good" while hugging you, you understand.
>>18557534I want to marry her
Testing Toy Boy for the first time, still in the first 10 minutes, it’s really weird. There’s something in here that I associate with some kind of herbal aromatic spice topping that would go on a pizza. No fucking clue. Not a typical Pizza Hut or Domino’s pizza though, like, your old nonna’s homemade pie type pizza topping. Still, it’s weird.

>>18557575>JusderoseLove her
>>18557579>oregano? basil? an herbal aspect of the rose?Oregano was the first thing that came to my mind, no idea if it shares some chemical element present due to one of the other notes, but it’s not a listed note, not that you can really trust note lists anyway. Maybe an herbal aspect of the rose, but I’ve never heard of that before. I’m also just not very experienced with rose notes, it was part of the reason I decided to sample the frag.
What's the meta on daily fragrances?I use Prada L'homme most days but I need a new suggestion. Have used BDC, Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme and Sauvage in the past. Something in that realm, but maybe a slight step up.
>>18557620If you like the powdery of Prada L'homme maybe Lalique Lion?

as a one spritz guy how long will a 100ml bottle last me?
>>18557650It was definitely something to do with the top notes because after 30-60 min it was completely gone. 2 hours in it’s okay, but it just confirms I don’t care for floral fragrances. Nothing against it, just not for me.
>>18557653It varies from vaporizer to vaporizer, but the general consensus is 1 spay = 100 ul, so that’s roughly 100000 sprays.

>>18557693Get to spraying.
>>18557599A lot of “niche” houses only get traction because they send free testers to famous fragrance “influencers”. That’s their marketing, giving people free slop so they’ll talk good about it, and it only costs them 3 bucks or so because that’s what nicheslop costs, even the pidgeon does it and he larps as ultra niche, something perfumeranon would surely tell you if his NDA didn’t have a clause stating that (((they))) are going to ruin his life if he talks about it. Wake up man it’s all slop, the only fragrance you need is Drakkar noir or bdc

Niche price is one thing, but I don't think they smell more pleasant on average. They're overdoing it, trying to reinvent the wheel and be "different". Designer houses and their parent companies have way more $$$ to spend on R&D to get it right in the first place.
>>18557940>more $$$ to spend on R&D to get it right in the first placeSomehow they get endless duds, they can just afford to pump out mediocrity until something sticks.

Is my nose broken in if think imagination, afternoon swim, aventus, sauvage, bleu de chanel and layton all have the same base scent profile after the initial opening I legitimately cannot tell the difference outside of some being a tiny bit sweeter

>>18558021you don't even know what ambroxan smells like
>you don't even know what ambroxan smells like
>>18558018Yes, it's "broken". Bleu de Chanel, Aventus, Sauvage, etc. smell nothing alike. Neither in the opening or dry-down.
>>18558033>it's all the same generic abroxan-slop
>>18558034all ambroxan base frags smell the same in the dry down
>>18558037They don't. Your nose is actually broken if you perceive them that way, I'm not memeing. They have really distinct DNAs despite beloning to the same groups or overlapping groups. Even normies can smell the difference between Dior Sauvage and Bleu de Chanel in the air.
>>18558042>Even normies can smell the difference between Dior Sauvage and Bleu de Chanel in the air.no they can't don't be silly
>>18558045Yes they 100% can if they've smelled it before. You even see this in fragrance street test interviews. >"is that bleu de chanel omg">"smells like dior sauvage, my ex used to wear that"
>>18558018>>18558033>>18558037>>18558045The reason why they smell the same or predominantly smell like abroxane is because you've gone nose blind. You predominantly smell abroxane because it's a synthetic. What you all have in common is that you're too low IQ to realise something so basic and obvious.
>they smell the same to you because you're noseblind>they smell the same to you because they're synthetic>they smell the same to you because you're low IQjust admit it's a shitty replacement for traditional fixatives

>>18558056the problem isn't the ambroxan though lmao how dense can you be you're not smelling the whole scent profile like those around you because you're too up close and can't identify and distinguish the "natural" notes anymore
>>18558058And so what would you replace ambroxan with? No seriously.
>>18558053I mean I only asked because I just bought a bunch of samples for the first time after only using 1 million lucky for years and half of them smelled the same so idk how I could’ve gone nose blind comparing them all

Do there exist a Chanel fragrance for men that isn't worn by indians?
>>18558087I'm so sorry.
I've interestingly enough never smelled Dior Sauvage on an Indian.
>>18558087I've never smelled one wearing Egoiste. I don't think they understand it.
>>18558091Egoiste is Indian pastry shop in a bottle and probably smells too familiar to them.
>>18558090I've smelled Sauvage Elixir on pajeets here.
I got a bottle of Dior Fahrenheit. I'm pretty sure many are familiar with it. It starts deceptively with quiet watery green notes before slowly growing more masculine, spicier, and leathery. I even get some gentle sweetness from the florals almost vanillic. Surprisingly it smells quite modern and not outdated even when I vividly remember adults wearing it when I was younger. It's never harsh, and the scent is quite unique. Projection is okish, the longevity is respectable. I tried it the first time in the heat and it became quite aggressive and intense, trying it now in cooler weather it's quite muted. I don't know if this is a universal experience and the source of the name or just because it was the first time. I plead ignorance.captcha: GAS4K
>>18558101It's a masterpiece. It drops panties like crazy but is complex enough to not feel like a tool for wearing it. >>18557549 This is what you want
>>18558083Well, that’s a bottle of fragrance, an inanimate object, and Tauer is a person, so pretty different. In all seriousness though, which Tauer? Lonestar Memories? At least specify the fragrance don’t just name the perfumer.
>>18558110LADDM or Ambre Sultan if you have tried either
>>18558101I also got a bottle of L'Artisan Perfumeur Tubereuse. It start a bit sweet and gummy with a hint of that floral floor cleaner. It smells clean and soapy but I did have a tuberose soap which could have influenced that perception. It's quite feminine but has a bit of funkiness and resin that keeps it slightly wearable for a man. It project nicely at first and lasts but turns a bit into a lotion-like scent.
