China will grow.
>>18568612For $7, it comes with a box, cloth, and warranty card, lel. So I removed the second hand
Gonna get this to satisfy my craving for a Roman numeral + cathedral hands watch
>>18568690Check if the legibility is good, both the whitish dial and hands might have no contrast at certain angles.
>>18568719If it's anything like the 170th anniversary version, the metal of the hands should contrast enough
>>18568662but that voids the warranty!
>>18568637hey i bought that same one, i really like it but can't help but think i should have just ordered the brown dial.
Been trolling someone's IG account on my phone and got blocked. How do I get around an IG block? Can't even see the person's IG account on my alt IG accounts..,
>>18568612Is this real guilloche?
>>18568895It doesn't say, but the lug width is 22mm for a 37mm case, 9.7mm thin quartz.https://www.ixdaowatch.com/product-page/jd-x06s-stainless-dress-watch-white-guilloch%C3%A9e
>>18568741Maybe I'll get another one and custom paint the dial.
>>18568936>>18568895It's not, it says it's pressed. Wouldn't make sense for it to be guilloche at that price
>>18568936>the lug width is 22mm for a 37mm caseIt does look very wide, but that's the look they were going for, similar to the 33mm Calatrava with 18mm lug width.
>>18568690i'm thinking about this it's the only expedition i find in 36mmprobably gonna change the strap
jelly?

I removed a sticky, hair-like particle under one of the hands of my Tsuyosa, only visible with a loupe. Now I want to learn how to regulate my shitters.
Who makes the best VK64 chrono? Vario's looks nice as far as microbrands go
I am waiting on this, it's taking an eternity to ship
>>18570424Isnt that the company that makes coffee pots and beard trimmers? What are they doing making watches now?
>>18570437>now
>>18570424I will never understand why people buy into this minimalism bullshit, it is literally absence of any design. I bet people who came up with this stupid idea are ecstatic they have production costs around zero and get to sell those terrible things to gullible idiots at massive markup.
I saw the Braun with the digital display that looked kind of cool but when I found out it was 45mm I lost all interest. It's like wearing a dinner plate on your wrist.BN0299 if you want to know the model.
>>18570418Don't know, but I can recommend Vario in general. Bought their pilot, build quality is top notch and their customer support is on another level.
>>18568612It's honestly impressive what kind of build quality Chink watches offer now. I just wish they'd leave their retarded company name off the dial and go for an understated logo instead. Or hire someone competent to come up with a name. Just saw an interview with the founder of Vario who explained the name is a combination of "vary" and "Oreo". I mean come on.
I now have a strange habit of shaking my watches when I pick them up, may it be automatic or quartz.
>>18570873They squeeze out what they can provide at reasonable pricepoints which is good. But I still can't stand the Octopus goatse and the Addiesdive speargun logos, eventhough they make good watches.
>>18570418>VK64It and movements like it need to be thrown onto a heap and burned.
>>18570967lmao
~200$ GS-homage shitter. Miyota 9015, milled clasp, screwed links, sapphire, screw in crown, toolless micro adjust, running at +2spd with great lume.
>>18571218cool branding
>>18570873agreed. i bought an addiesdive ad2030 with no logo or text and wish more brands would do the same.
>>18571218>GS clones are $200 nowDamn, how long till the chinks start spitting out $30 homages
>>18571247There are $5 clones on Aliexpress, automatic watches start at $30.
>>18571282Are there actual GS clones for $5 or are you just making shit up
>>18571098>>18570873they make something neat again and ruin it. "Addieskin"? Sounds awful. "100m = 330ft" Why not just put 100m like ever other watch company?
>>18570967I like to snap it across my wrist. Like POP
Love my timex shitter
>>18571370me too but mine ticks like a damn wall clock, need to stick it in a drawer to sleep.
>>18571374That's part of the sovl
>>18571374Mine is not that loud, although I take it off as soon as I come home anyway.
>>18571403mine's an expedition scout, maybe just because it's a cheap model.>>18571389i did really like the ticking at first but drives me nuts when in a quiet room or car. had to take it off and stick it in my bag during some exams.
>>18570873>>18571325Watchdives seems to be the only one with a not-retarded name and a cool looking logo without a bunch of writing all over them. although looking at them now it seems to depend on the model. some have writing, and there's a different logo with the whole name in it. but that logo isn't ugly or anything. anons say they're decent quality but I don't have one.
>>18571496versus:
How good is the lume on these in reality?
Can we address the elephant in the room? How the fuck can people read analog watches with such ease? I want to see the time instantly (digital) and not wonder and process what the fucking hands are pointing at.
>>18571553I'm sorry you have to hear it this way, anon, but... you might be mentally retarded
Watch ID?
>>18571553I learnt it in kindergarden (before I learnt to read).Do you also wear shoes with velcro straps?

>>18571553It's alright zoomfriend. It just takes some practice. You are probably 15 years old and have only ever looked at the time on your phone, so you have always been used to saying something like "it's 7:18" because that's the exact time you are seeing on the screen. With an analogue you wouldn't worry about pinpoint accuracy and instead you just say "it's 7 past 15" or "past 7 and a quarter" The more you look at your watch, the easier it gets to read it. Some watches like the timex weekender are really easy to read because every hour indice is labeled with numbers that are big and thick, like my cock. Just keep in mind that if you need accurate and exact timekeeping for work or what have you, you are better off with a digital watch.
>>18571964Great alignment.
>>18571553just takes a fraction of a second longer. you'll need to get used to it though, i hear lots of kids can't read analog anymore.
I wear my srpg03 too much recommend another poorfag shitter watch so I can mix things up
>>18572073which one
>>18572262
>>18572253if you want a field watch, Citizen BM8180 is pretty cool
Big if true. I can't wait to have an 18K SKMEI on my wrist.
Just got my new Timex Expedition as my first analog and wow it feels very nice. Doesn't feel too cheap. And it's not loud at all. I'm in a quiet room right now with the watch on my wrist and I cannot hear a thing. Very satisfied
Can you guys please stop your shitposting to /nawt/ and just stay in your poorfaggot shitter thread. Thanks.
>>18572790it is true, the catch is that you need to spend billions of dollars to produce one gram of gold in a particle collider
>>18573131True.All the world's gold was formed in supernovas. Most of the gold the planet has is centered on the core as it's very heavy compared to most naturally occurring elements.I just don't understand why they don't mine the core directly. They could easily extract cubic kilometers of high purity gold that way along with other rare earth metals.>oh no, it would crash the market priceSo what? It's better for everyone>mining the core would destroy the environmentAgain bullshit, the mined metals would just be replaced by others by gravity and humanity's needs would never deplete it.They just don't want to do that, to keep up the status quo.
gooks if they stopped giving all of their west marketed products ridiculous names
>>18573170No one has ever successfully drilled deeper than 12000m.The reason isn't some Jewish conspiracy or woke tree-huggers, we simply don't have the tech to do it.

Whats with the budget Casio 1302s?
>>18573278They're the cheapest decent-looking and good quality analog watches available IMO.They do nothing for me, the design is just too bland. But now that Seiko 5's cost $400 this is the entry level for a daily all-purpose watch.
>>18573099Wow anon, that is a very inflammatory post. Did you ask your AD for his permission before posting that?
>>18570967Who you looking at with those big ol’ eyes?
>>18571374>>18571389It’s funny, I actually really like the loud ticking on the timex movements. I think I have that thing where subtle repetitive noise helps me relax and focus, like a rain sounds generator or something Now that I think about it, I should check the timex lineup again, I was going to go with a Chinese automatic because I just think autos are cool and I’d like a vague retro GMT “homage”, but I do miss my loud ass weekenderExtra funny because all my friends found the noise significantly more noticeable than I did, so I’d always have people asking why my watch was so loud
Seriously considering picrel>swiss movement instead of NH34>11mm case thickness>technically a brand with history, if it matters>$400 used, although they don’t crop up oftenOnly downside is not knowing if I’ve got the confidence and vibes for a rootbeer GMT haha
Too late for kofe, time for some water
>>18573437...and lume time
>>18573427The fact that it's an hommage ruins it for me.There's thousands of watches with interesting unique designs in the <$500 price range, why copy another brand?
>>18573170feel free to go core mining any time lmao
>>18573278>>18573304>make the most iconic digital watch in history>also copy the most iconic analog wtch in historyBased, have the black dial one. Never looked back.
>>18573427Gljolex from Aljbania
>>18573093yeah, I dailied a weekender for many years and the ticking never phased me. it's true timex is louder than other brands but it's not bad like everyone says. I guess it depends on the individual but I never had a problem. enjoy your expedition.
>>18573093congrats, it's one of the best poorfag watches around. My older green one survived the hardest work I've ever done in my life and is getting a new battery soon. You might wanna replace the strap based on what you're doing, I had mine fall apart from moisture.

I need advice.I was gonna buy this Casio (I already have a luxury watch, this would be just something I wear for the gym or concerts). GW-5000U. I like the stealthy look but also higher quality build. It can't be metal because I'm gonna wear it during activities where I could hurt somebody. Then recently, people started shilling the upcoming MIP variant. I looked it up and it seems it won't have Tough Solar, so basically you'll have to "charge it" every week. Which sounds SUPER gay to me. Like the whole point of G-Shock is that it just exists and functions, on its own. Also, the design seems kinda soulless, although you can switch the font. And then I also noticed they recently released a negative display variant (GW-5000HS). Which I'm skeptical of, but it does look cool, kinda ninja, all black. But then, visibility might be an issue.Thoughts?
It's a swiss made Casio
>>18574276There is no such things as a higher quality build for gshock and also it is useless, gshock is supposed to be cheap just get the m5610.
>>18574326That's not what I asked. But thanks for your opinion anyway.
>>18574327Yes, negative display is shit, was that your question?
What's the best field watch under 100 dollars that I can have under a long sleeve shirt? Something a bit low profile
