Holy hell. So this is the power of watches...

I doubt it has smooth movement but good for you.

Just got this bad boy recently. It's an awesome watch, right up there with San Martin for finishing quality. Has a nice bracelet with a milled clasp, toolless micro adjust, screwed links, and a some very nicely polished indices under sapphire glass. I think mine is the same as the one you're looking at, just with a different dial.
>>
>>18582888
Fuck me that looks good.
>>
jomashop lies! They claimed my watch would arrive today and it hasn't even shipped out. At least it's not burning in some jet fuel inferno in that plane crash.

You'll be more amused when you perceive the analog quartz second hand move a bit slower than usual, in certain circumstances. Like time slows down a bit.

Why is there no "Grand Casio"?
Or does that 10k hammered metal gshock fill that role?

Any video on that?

I thought there were 5 watch threads because people are just that passionate about watches :p

I've handled them all and only Lange and GS are worthy. But at a Lange price-point, you might as well go independent. Even if you're holding a $100k watch, the polishing won't be as good as the ol' tin wheel treatment.

What's so special about tin wheels? Are they really really flat or what? How do they do it, bros?

Does it really take 3 years to learn tin wheel polishing? Why can't the Swiss hire someone that already knows? It's just laughable when you're looking at a Swiss watch that deliberately has highly-polished faceted indices, but they're inferior to GS indicies that come on a watch that costs 70-80% less. Same goes for polished bevels on cases. Imo the Swiss don't even try to compete with GS, they just pray that their past reputation will always justify their image (it will).
>>
just learned that half of the money I spent on my shitters was tax+premium and not the watches being ''expensive''
>>
>>18584343
Sucks to be you. I only buy shiters from japanese auctions and never pay more than 30% of their value.
>>
>>18584310
Indices are diamond cut/polished. They put a whole box of them on the wheel and then turn it, i've seen it in some video.
>>
>>18584449
Someone will try to cope with "well Patek just doesn't want their parts to be so shiny" as if being almost as shiny somehow gives more value to the end-product. Even Rolex which is poorly polished looks great under the super bright lights in the store, but it's when you're not under stadium lights that you can actually appreciate the tin wheel.
>>

you muricans don't know how good you have it
you work 1-2 days vs me 1-2 weeks (or month) to get the same thing

Not an actual vid, just an explanation. But you've most likely encountered it frequently before.
