Frags for white men to attract exotic cuties?
>>18610328D&G The One Parfum
>>18610328BBC
Any books to get started with perfume making? i think it'd be a fun hobby to pick up
>>18610238I'm looking to buy a fragrance for my gf for Christmas but nothing too too expensive because I don't want to consooom too much when things are as expensive as they are. I was lurking on social media and girls seem to like these perfumes, any anon got any experience with any of them?
>>18610381Anon.....How old is ur gf?
>>18610388I'm 27, she's 24. Not sure what you're implying here anon but I'm not a groomer
>>18610392that means she was 15 when you were 18?
>>18610394We have been together for 1.5 years anon. Just answer my question about the perfumes
>>18610381this shits cuteno idea what they smell like
>>18610392Nvm, i thought u were implying something, but These are fragrances a grown woman would not wear.Tell me your budget and/or perfumes your girlfriend already has or likes.
>>18610396On the website they write down the notes and stuff but I'm a total retard who doesn't know what that means and I can't visualise what it will smell like. I'm fine with many fragrances as long as it's not so powerful it will give me a headache or something. But yes I adore the packaging, it is also called Cloud
>>18610397Budget is around 50 euros (yuropoor), I have no idea which ones she already has, but she wears a flowery/sweet fragrance sometimes. I don't want to get her a grandma smell. I got Chanel no. 5 for Mother's Day because my mom loves it but it smells like something you're grandmother would wear. Not necessarily bad but just not fresh
>>18610394post beef flaps roastie
>>18610401The gourmond stuff might be to sweet.Depending if Branding is important to her, u might consider something Gucci or Hermes.I think Hermes has beautiful womans fragrancesThe un jardin line is quite nice.If ur in europe u can find them with ease for 60 bucks and less sometimes.Other than that, i bought mine "Coach dreams" which she likes
>>18610398>I'm fine with many fragrances as long as it's not so powerful it will give me a headache or somethingso most women's frags lel>>18610381I recall the original cloud getting popular but I haven't smelledany of them>>18610401>flowery/sweet fragrance>>18610410>Guccigucci had that white flowers release earlier this year but I forget the name, might fit the budget?and hermes has grandma-ish frags or at least older smelling ones I would say
There are two consoomers inside of me, one wants a hard limit of 50 bottles, the other one wants my wallet to be the limit. I'm considering getting rid of some bottles to make space for others but I just hate selling stuff. If I knew someone that was into fragrances I would gift them some bottles to make space.
>>18610401What also works, just go to a Douglas or similar store, smell some fragrances, and let them help you. But don't buy, you can get every fragrance for way cheaper online lol.
>>18610328doesnt matter, being white is enough
>>18610401>budget around 50 euros>no idea which ones she already hasmeaning she has more than oneYeah, better off just getting her something else, big dawg. Your budget is pretty constrictive already, but most importantly you don't have a firm answer as to what frangrances she likes, or even what she currently has. Test some out with her the next time you're at a department store. See what she likes, what you like, and then takes notes. Save up, and then next time you'll have a solid gift. Way more solid than asking random faggots on 4chan about some shit they've never smelled, for a girl they've never met.
>>18610422Which fragrance to offset "beeing White"?To attract White whales and such
>>18610424anything on this list>>18609822
>>18610128>>18610377Regarding literature on perfumery I can highly recommend “scent and chemistry” and “perfumery, practice and principles” for the more chemical side of things while books like “diary of a nose” discuss the history and creative process behind the creation of fragrances. Regarding aromachemicals I would once again consult diary of a nose as it lists all materials utilized by Jean Claude Ellena. If you’re not interested in the book, said list can also be found online. If you only want to “dip your toes” into perfumery so to speak, tell me what type of fragrances you would first like to create and I can suggest a shorter list tailored to your needs.
Ive been wearing picrel this week and want to get something from MFK to wear in it's place daily. Someone in the last thread said nothing really takes it's place but are there any safe blind buys, am also a fan of YSL L'homme and Paco Rabbane pour homme and Born in Roma, will probably get a sample set but there is too many choices
>>18610467I never said nothing takes its place, I said there are no exact clones or alternatives. At its core mania is just a dry clean cedar, if you like it look into cedar dominant fragrances. Cedar is quite common and it's less common for it to be dominant. I actually have another Turkdijon cedar in Lancome Miracle Homme, it sweetens it up with maple. It's sweeter than I usually like but the base reaches an amazing note that is just so right. It's unfortunately discontinued but reasonably priced unlike Mania. I'm not as familiar with his modern stuff and his own house, seems too clean and linear, which seems be his thing but it needs to reach the right note.
>>18610342Why are Arab girls so horny??
>>18610482Arab? She is some kind of gypsy mutt, definitely not arab, she was probably in Dubai to get shit and pissed on for a few shekelsSOTD guerlain homme
>>18610416>a hard limit of 50 bottlesgoddamn dawg lmaoyeah I’m gonna go out tonight, not gonna get too crazy I have a hard limit of 18 beers
>>18610505You're right, if an alcoholic doesn't limit himself, why should I. As long as I don't die choking on vomit like my alcoholic neighbor then I'll be ok.
>>18610451thanks for the recommendations. i'd like to read about the history of perfumery to deepen my understanding of it, but also a practical guide to make my own. as for which types of perfumes i'd like to create first, that's a good question. although i enjoy leathery, animalic, warm spicy, boozy perfumes, i do like the barbershop/fougeres a lot and i think they'd be a good starting point. Colonia, BdJ, Eau Sauvage, things like that.
Going to Vegas next year to disown my father what fragrance should I wear?
>>18610496I'm so down bad for gio. I instantly knew it was her even though she looks super generic in this picture
Can't decide between Spicebomb Extreme and Most Wanted for a winter going out frag. I really like the way the latter kinda bites you, but the longevity seems worse than spicebomb. Is the intense or parfum a better choice?

>>18610594She looks Italian
>>18610594she looks like a blob of flesh and seven pounds of makeup desu
>>18610524If you are interested in creating classic colognes along the lines of Colonia I would suggest you begin by purchasing citrus related aromachemicals such as aldehyde C10 and citrus Essential oils such as lemon, bergamot, bitter orange, sweet orange, lemongrass and litsea cubeba. Beyond that, for floral, aromatic, green and woody notes: basil, tarragon, rosemary, anise, citronellal, citral, citronellol, limonene, beta pinene, alpha pinene, terpinolene, octanal, decanal, verdox, stemone, cyclogalbanate, leaf alcohol (cis-3-hexenol), leaf aldehyde (cis-3-hexenal), geranial, neral, methyl pamplemousse, iso e super, cashmeran, cedramber, timberol, bacdanol, vertofix, kephalis, norlimbanol, ambroxan, phenyl ethyl alcohol, benzyl acetate, benzyl salicylate, hedione, linalyl acetate, hydroxycitronellal, lilial (banned IFRA 51), lyral (banned IFRA 51), florol, rosalva. This should give you a good foundation. Let me know if you’d also like me to list some boozy or leathery aromachemicals, although for now I think it’s best you get acquainted with the ones I have mentioned
>>18610598Never seen an Italian look like her before.

>>18610621again, thanks for the time to write all this. but while you're here, i'd love to hear about some tobacco/leather/boozy aromachemicals.or what about animalics?
Got to love how unreliable reviews are.>"Classic man's man smell not for weak little boys!">Smells like a 80 year old alzheimer patient shitting himself's perfume>"Total chick destroyer they keep pulling my pants down!">Smells like 1992 space movieThanks for the rec, niggas
>>18610723Regarding boozy notes here are a few commonly found in high proof spirits such as cognac, rum, whiskey etc… Ethyl acetate, ethyl propionate, ethyl butyrate, ethyl isobutyrate, ethyl 2-methylbutyrate, ethyl 3-methylbutyrate, ethyl hexanoate, ethyl heptanoate, ethyl octanoate, ethyl decanoate, isoamyl acetate, isoamyl butyrate, beta damascone (and a handful of other rose ketones, Damascenone is commonly found in brandy accords), vanillin, Oakwood co2, Oakwood chip SFE, Cognac green, cognac white, Delta undecalactone, diethyl succinate, ethyl lactate, acetaldehyde, diacetyl, furfural, ethyl tiglate, ethyl phenylacetate, benzaldehyde, benzyl acetate, benzyl propionate, allyl hexanoate, 2-methoxy-3-methylpyrazine. Pyrazines in general are found in some whiskey accords. Regarding leather aromachemicals the most common are the quinolines, chiefly among which Pyralone (isobutyl quinoline) as well as hexyl quinoline, methyl quinoline, quinoline. guaiacol and 4-methylguaiacol are found in Russian leather type compositions. Historically, Russian leather was scented by utilizing birch tar which has a distinctly Smokey note employed to great effect in creed Aventus. o-cresol, m-cresol, p-cresol, 4-ethylphenol, 4-ethylguaiacol, phenol, indole, skatole, cresyl phenylacetate, para-cresyl acetate, para-cresyl phenylacetate, para-cresyl butyrate, para-cresyl isobutyrate, para-cresyl 2-methylbutyrate are distinctly animalic, with some creosols smelling like urine. The most common “animalics” found are musks, few of which are distinctly animalic enough to warrant a mention. tonalide, musk ketone and musk xylene as well as civettone. For a distinctly animalic aroma you’ll most commonly employ bases such as castoreum-type synthetics like Castoreum synth or Castoreum Givco, alternatively generic animalic bases such as animalys (found in kouros) or civet type synthetics
>>18610594Yes. Are you an indian who thinks white people actually look as brown as you?
>>18610733You can't trust reviews anywhere. Also if u look up clones, its very rarely that they smell like the real thing. You can even trust the Note breakdown. Just go by bottle Design alone
>>18610750I endorse everything in this post. Notes and reviews are marketing lies.
The boomers on basenotes had a debate about GCMS analysis. On one side you have profiteers like fraterworks who make money from selling formulas and ingredients, clearly they are in favor of it. On the other side you have independents nobody has heard of trying to protect their "work" who are against it. I want to join the forum and stir the pot kek, they are far too civil.
>>18610772I hope Grant croaks and takes the shitfest of a site to the grave with him.
>>18610772Go for it
>>18610481Thanks for this >seems too clean and linearIt's the straight clean soapyness of Paco rabbane pour homme that I really enjoy so honestly this trait sounds good to me. Have decided to skip the discovery sample set and just getting the Amyris Homme edt
>>18610772I swear nobody on there is below 40

What scents would an Asian guy dating a White female wear?YSL Y?
>>18610825Tam Dao
>>18610839>DiptyqueFunnily enough lots of Kpop boyfags wear this stuff
>>18610841Tam Dao is the only good thing I liked in their house. L’eau Papier used to be good but got old quick. I have a diffuser with Tam Dao scent, works great
The leather in this is too good, reminds me of OG Fahreheit drydown.
>>18610848Used to like Tam Dao EdP until I realised I smell like an Indian (sandalwood & cumin)

Anyone tried invasion barbare by mdci? I got sample coming hopefully this month. Im reading only good things about it and fragrances im smelling now are awesome. My birthday is next month so this will be my yearly purchase. I sampled iron duke and will go try out orto parisi.Sprayed 5 sprays encre noire l’extrême for the night. I hope performance will be better in future>>18610381Lataffa teriaq intese>>18610421I do this I have been going weekly to mall to try out every fragrance. I never buy. I limit myself to two sprays each wrist.
>>18610950Most wanted is nice vanille. Sweet but nothing féminine. There are better fragrance with better vanille
>>18610984>Anyone tried invasion barbare by mdci?yeah it's goodand too expensive for me to get nowalthough I remember IB having this strange sharp pepper? or metallic? note that was opposed by a bit of sweetness and I can't say whether that was because I smelled it in a store or if that's part of the frag so I'd have to test it again before I bought itchypre palatin is fantastic and I would buy if I had the cash
>>18610989Nice, you have to try it three times to get proper experience. On site of mdci you get complimentary set of 5x11ml. Chypre palatin should be there for sure. How did IB smell like to you? What notes did you pick the most? Did you try it on skin? Saving up a little every week can become a lot in the future.
>>18610733Ordered Lattafa Ramz Silver a few days ago, spotted one in a store today & smelled it>a $$$ fragrance, except it's made of "Little Trees" synthetic air freshener scentsAny frags for a vampire (not quite dead, but not alive, either) twink figure skater to wear on the ice? I currently wear Burberry Touch, but it doesn't last long or project enough. I'd like to have a signature scent trail like some other skaters have. I like gender-neutral, powdery scents or things that smell like "winter"
>>18610772>independents nobody has heard of trying to protect their "work"stuff like that will not get cloned, if it were true you would have Francesca Bianchi and Andy Tauer clones.
>>18611002Ungaro III
>>18610996I just tried it on a testing stripI feel like I can compare IB to CP quite well by saying that they both smell like what they are called but far more opulent and rich than other fragrances of the same genresIB is a barbershop fougere but it has many notes that are blended together so well that you can barely tell them apart (I really like this style of perfumery)and while it definitely smells like a barbershop fougere it is also unlike any other barbeshop fougere with it's richness and vastness
>>18611011>I just tried itI only tried itand I hate to give such a vague description of it but I can't really describe it better than that and I hope anons will be interested enough by my post to try it

Need opinions on these >Amouage Lyric man>OJ Nawab of Oudh>OJ Black Gold
Vetiver is a boring note and im tired of pretending that it's not
i sold all my niche frags and now only wear 7 euro attars that i buy from tamil kiosk
>>18611092Lyric notes sounds interesting but I would never wear rose fragrance without oud. I'm too masculine to pull it off
>>18611095Depends, Vetiver paired with fresh notes is boring, but if it's inky dark like in Y intense or Encre Noire, it's addictive
>>18611110Some of the most masculine scents have rose. You must have low T.
>>18611123Yeah, I'm too low on Time to argue with Dravidians like you.
>>18611123How would you feel if you haven't eaten breakfast?

>>18611110Lol what? If you were actually masculine you could wear a women's perfume and pull it off.
Is there anything like Joop Homme but better?
>>18611143Yeah I got the discovery set, they all have a soapy and clean feel. Honey & Lemon is really realistic and sumo wrestler has a really cool incence and rice smell.
>>18610849You wear Al-Rehab too?
>>18611160Ah thats nice, is "roasted green tea" included? If yes, what's your impression? I'm really interested in the peanut note, and this one guy said it's absolutely repulsive.
>>18610825>YSL YPlease don't wear that
>>18611163yeah roasted green tea is included, at the drydown the peanut note is really strong and "oily" kind of like peanut butter.
What does he wear /frag/? Something eco friendly?
>>18611167Thanks, the Discovery Set looks really interesting, and it's only 45 bucks. I think I'm going to buy it. I'm really interested in a couple of them, especially the peanut and honey/lemon one
>>18611098Are you Indianmaxxing, anon?
>>18611162I have White Full, Sultan Oud, White Musk, Oud and Rose, Balqis and Lord (spray). Usually I use them to layer my fragrances, I find that their oudh is well blended despite being cheap. My favorite combo rn is YSL Y // White Full, and Grand Soir // Balqis.I have an upcoming order (attar) next year, which is a dupe of Sauvage Elixir
Remember that one arab house has a fragrance named "White Supreme" but changed it shortly after release because of different connotations in western countries
>>18611159Answer me you fucking assholes
This general is fucking washed. Where did all the tasteful people go? Looking in the archives makes me depressed.
>>18611190Joop Homme EDP is good if you don't mind a nutty accord

Escentric Molecules Molecule 1 with patchouli + Molecule 5 + Escentric 4, one spray of each, is the perfect combination. I have never gotten more compliments from any other fragrance. I get compliments almost every day.

>>18611245If you feel like you are raping noses, especially after a few minutes, you are DEFINITELY raping noses. Try spraying less or choose a different technique, like spraying one spray up in the air and quickly walking through the cloud.
>>18611246Lord Blue.Which is weird because their Lord is a dupe of Lapidus Pour Homme. Probably a naming convention in their fougere releases

thinking frags will help you pull women is a bigger cope than gymmaxxing
>>18611535>thinking fragslol what are those?
>>18611535It sure doesn't hurt. What does help pull women is comfort with and confidence in yourself, and things like a nice fragrance or dressing well can help with that. Whatever works for people works.
Asked my GF if i can stick it up her *ss again. She says soon. Luckiest man alive, bros. Sotd Bugatti IconiQ Gold(Molecule2 clone).>>18611535Scents help pulling women. Especially fougeres.
Don't hate me but what are some fragrances that are like LV Imagination or better than it with similar DNA?
Morning friends. Trying to find my mom something with similar notes to pic related (Very Valentino). Unfortunately VV has been discontinued for some time it seems. Preferably something that's possible to find a clone for, or that has a Calvin Klein-tier price tag. Already got the wife and dad frags of their choice but having a hard time finding one for mummy

>>18611515He's right, paper is meaningless.
>>18611571I get that. It does work for me. And to EM's credit, their cannabis note is a lot better than Malin and Goetz's.

>>18611575it doesnt. if a girl is into you, she's into you and will like anything youre wearing automatically. if shes not into you, a fragrance wont change that.

Anyone owns/tried The dark side by francesca Bianchi? I love it. It’s warm Amber honey incense. It’s beautiful.
