Do you wear any sort of small bag? I've been looking to buy something which isn't overly offensive to the eyes.

I don't want to carry my backpack everywhere and it's getting too warm for jackets.
>>

Nice purse bro
>>
>>18631433
It's not a purse it's a european handbag

>>
Anon, what purpose would justify wearing a "small, cross-body bag" that ALSO defeats the use of a backpack?
Is it casual?
Professional?
Social?
Fiscal?

If you are a male in a western culture and you're scared of taking a purse with you because you want to, you are either
● Rightfully wary of your social status
● Too effeminate to have any pride or confidence in yourself, that some other person's opinion of you will cause you more harm and anxiety than you're capable of handling

My suggestion is to just wear your backpack. You, or maybe someone you're traveling with (be it social or professional), will appreciate the extra space, if you're actually wearing it out of necessity and not something gay like "fashion."
>>
>>18631439
Nah that's too effeminate. You want a HARD gay look not a s o f t gay look. Leather hip pouch, leather jacket. Go full tom of finland.
>>

>Anon, what purpose would justify wearing a "small, cross-body bag" that ALSO defeats the use of a backpack?

Keeping small items on my person so my pockets aren't bulky.
>>
>>18631430
>cross-body bags

You mean a purse?
>>
>Noooo as a man you’re not allowed to carry a bag to bring along a moderate number of everyday items! They have to be awkwardly distributed between your pants and jacket pockets. Because… because that’s just how it is!!
>>
>>18631514
this exactly. Especially in summer, you either have to carry an entire backpack or have your pant pockets filled with everything. It makes you look retarded and lumpy.
>>
>>18631430
>i have a gun
Get a Filson, Porter, or even a Billingham that actually offers some versatility
>>
>>18631430
Either a fannypack or a triangular backpack or whatever it's called, those fucking purses are disgusting and ridiculous
>>
I just use this aer sling during the summer
but im up for getting a different style one more sling bag rather than fanny pack looking

I think those chest fanny packs look pretty neat, I wanna get one of those eventually. Smaller than a backpack, not as gay looking as a purse and (at a glance) not as awkward as an actual regular fanny pack, I used them and don't like how they feel when you're running

>>
found one I like

get it in all black and you're good to go
>>
>>18631514
Well, yes. The average modern man doesn't need to be carrying much. Especially since pockets are sizable in menswear and smartphones became a thing. Keys, wallet, and phone can easily fit in pants pockets. Gum, comb, and pocket knife will round out most mens' EDC and still be comfortable to carry in pants pockets.

Anything more is special use case to the individual and not universal to all life styles. In such cases you'd probably be better served by a more sizable bag, case, or backpack which are far less faggy and let you hold more stuff.
>>
>>18631450
how many small items do you really need
women have purses because they have to touch up their appearance multiple times a day, you don't

>>

Don't you carry that in your prison wallet?

sounds like a special case
so they dont need purses either

Not OP, but the sole reason I want to carry a bag is for my gun, because there's no way to holster it that doesn't either make me look fat or make it very obvious that I'm carrying.
But I've yet to find a bag option that doesn't ruin an outfit.

And you think a gun-sized bag won't do that? You may as well be wearing a Columbine coat at that point.
>>
>>18632782
Many clothing brands have explicitly "concealed carry" options. This is especially true for "outdoorsman" or "hunting" brands.
For example:

i have an eberlestock fanny pack with a kydex trigger guard tied to a loop on the inside of the main pocket. perfect for a glock 19.

I’ve been considering either this bag, the vardag by fjallraven, or something more professional like a Filson. I have a small duffel bag I carry to and from work each day. Has my keys, documents, planner, a drink or snack, etc. but it’s starting to look and feel a little ratty so maybe it’s time for an upgrade. Part of me wants to buy something nice like a decent leather attache, part of me wants to be cheap and just use the bare minimum.

Other option, something like this. If someone knows a good leather company tho I wouldn’t mind spending a few hundred bucks if it’s quality and would last.
>>
>>18631446
I like these drop leg bags, they should become more popular. It's like a better version of a fanny pack.

i got this 1L patagonia sling, seamrippered the logo, snipped the jangley zippers and replaced them with cord.
its basically just a bag to shove my wallet, keys, and earbuds in while im at work. i've added a phone cord too since i have the space. its nice on planes as well.
>>
>>18632943
>And you think a gun-sized bag won't do that?
No? First of all it doesn't necessarily have to be exactly gun-sized, but even if it was, there's plenty of other things someone might use a bag to carry. Phone, wallet, keys, etc. I just want plausible deniability.
>>18632957
Glock 19 is what I carry too, so I'll def look into that. Thanks!
>>
I wear one for long walks and runs sometimes. It has a little cord that wraps around my body to keep it still. Ever since I got a high ankle sprain and had to limp miles home in the dark I bring water, ibuprofen, ace wrap, a flashlight, and a phone battery if I’ll be even a few miles from home.

Can you explain what's wrong with a purse, without sounding mad?
>>
>>18633314
Men specialize.
Women generalize.
This applies to basically all activities; exericise, work, social, action, rest, the idea of participation is to get the best possible outcome. Outcomes can be very different depending on your sex.

Are you a man performing an action? Use a tool.
Are you a woman performing an action? Carry-all.
>>
>>18633129
Nah, most people will just assume that that's where you keep your gun or drugs.

If you want plausible deniability, dress like a fag. Nobody would look twice.
>>
>>18633379
So those men that buy a 1 ton pickup truck to commute to their white collar desk job because they might need to haul something someday are acting like women?
>>
>>18633883
Yeah just get a station wagon with a roof rack.
>>
>>18633379
This is one of the dumbest conclusions I’ve heard in awhile, and has to be some bs you just barely considered. Give me 3 irl examples, because like 10 counter-examples come to mind with no effort
>>
