>try Spicebomb Extreme in the store>I like it>but I don't think I can wear something that projects so well it fills the room with just a few spraysHow do you get around this?

Just tried some fragrances at duty free. Here are my reviews, feel free to agree or disagree:MFK>Amyris homme Very masculine, has a leather-like quality. Opening is fougere, drydown is anise-iris combo. Weirdly smells like a Diesel perfume (brand, not the fuel)>Gentle fluidity silver Clean, masculine, with pine and juniper berries. Good enough but quite unremarkable. Dior>Dior Homme Sport Resinous and fresh at the same time. Harsh opening, but undeniably a unique freshie. It has a synethic quality up close, but I don’t mind. >Dior HommeThis one doesn’t smell like iris at all. Is this the MFK one? It smells like a generic male body wash. Frederic Malle>Carnal FlowerBoy, this one is unique. Impressive projection. It smells like the yellow flowers they sell outside a Catholic church, bit feminine but who gives a damn. I would wear it if I want to stand out in a crowd. >Musc RavaugerSweet and musky, leans a bit masculine. It smells like a sweaty sex in a good way. Slight ashtray drydown. Ive read a lot about this one in these threads, id say it deserves the discussion. Creed>Green Irish tweedsmells like an old man cologne. Like a very old fougere. Very classic, a bit leafy. >Silver Mountain WaterHonestly i find this one mid, it smells like a mint shampoo, good drydown though. >CentaurusSmells very cozy, Christmassy, reminds me of MFK Grand Soir. This is my favorite out of all I tested. I wanna try Aventus Absolu too but they don’t have a a tester. Also wanted to sniff some of Maison Margiela but they have too many sales associates around and im autistic as fuck. Maybe next time.
Remember to do anything to make sure influencers lose revenue.
>>18636568>he likes sweet gay fragrances
SOTD: Vetiver ExtraordinaireI don't know why I'm being so stubborn, I just don't like vetiver. There's something in vetiver that reminds me of gin and it makes me nauseous.
>>18636572you fucking retard, lmao
>>18636568Get Metallic Musk, its much better than the Extreme flanker and it is not as strong
>>18636598How do you deal with salespeople
i'm testing two MFK frags today>Grand Soirdisgusting>Oud Extraiti actually like it, reminds me of Nivea hand cream for some reason, a medicinal oud is barely present in the backgroundi would actually use this if i could get it for free but for €345 it's a hard pass>>18636689nta, but>How do you deal with salespeopleyou spill your spaghetti, shid your pants, turn 360 degrees and walk away (in no particular order)
>>18636680I don't like it all that much, especially considering it's quite similar to French Lover except worse.
>>18636598>Dior HommeThis one doesn’t smell like iris at all. Is this the MFK one? It smells like a generic male body wash.Dior Homme Original is the iris scent. Dior Homme 2020 is a completely different fragrance.
Recommend me fragrances that smell like picrel please>>18636598Damn I was in the store trying a bunch out and only remembered to try Dior Homme after I left the place. Got home and bought what could be considered an Aventus clone because it smelled so good for the summer, also wanna try it to compare since I don't know the original.>>18636689NTA but I ask them if I can try a few fragrances that I've been curious about, I try them and then I ask if they have the bigger variation of the flask, like 200ml (they usually don't) or if there is a sale, and if not I thank them and leave. In the age of internet, most salespeople already know that you are going to buy that from the internet anyways, specially when it's half the price of the store. Feels cheap to do it but so does trying to steal $150 from me for a Carolina Herrera Good Girl
>>18636694lol noselet
>>18636359Ah, my bad.>how do you avoid thatThe best anyone can do is being aware of their own biases and how they might affect their own perceptions, which largely comes with experience, both regarding paying attention to how you form impressions and trying frags.>>18636579I personally care because I'd like to evaluate a frag based on how it smells and not how it presents or how its marketing copy reads. Then again, someone else might not care as much and enjoy having a frag largely because of how the bottle looks, it's just up to personal preference.>>18636567I think it's more likely that they're simply not producing much of them to maintain a degree of exclusivity/scarcity and to avoid having to get rid of unsold stock for low prices.
>>18636695>>18636598Dior Homme Parfum 2014 is François Demachy AFAIK it is the only one Kurkdjian reformulated in 2024.Never wore the 2014 version but with the new one I didn't smell any iris on paper at all but after about 5 hours on skin that's all i could smell.
What does he wear /frag/?
>>18636695>>18636696My bad. I think picrel is the one I tested. Honestly you can't blame me, all their bottles look the same. But yeah it just reminds me of Bleu de Chanel profile with more emphasis on woods. >>18636689I wear earbuds without music so they don't prioritize talking to me unless I ask. Sometimes when I want something I just ask them directly.
>>18636693Grand Soir is nice but it's not worth the niche price. There are dupes out there that do the same. I think you could only pull it off if you're in a honeymoon with your wife
>>18636709>I think you could only pull it off if you're in a honeymoon with your wifeblegh, no way i would do that

Certain individuals" aren't gaslighting anyone: they meant exactly what they said, no more and no less. That said, there's nothing nefarious about suggesting that someone whose nickname was "Tweed" might have been amused by trying a fragrance of the same name. This casts no aspersion on King, with whom members of my family marched on Washington. There are few if any figures in history whom I hold in higher regard.

What is with all the hate towards mainstream scents? I get being niche (I own Red Tobacco 60mL and CDNIMLE too), but why is there so much dislike towards Wanted 2016, Boy Toy, and Lacoste Blanc Intense?

>>18637005 I'm not in the business of smelling nice. I'm not in any BUSINESS at all. I'm all about that protest art. My choice in fragrances is a way of sticking it up to the MAN, dude. I'm not here to smell "well put together", I want to CONFRONT you, CORNER you, CHALLENGE you. I'm your shadow, always going back and forth, floating like a butterfly ready to sting like a bee, smelling of OUD and CIVET. I'm the MILLENNIAL that always denies! And rightly so; because everything that comes into being, Is worthy that it perishes
>>18637005>Why are popular, top-selling, mainstream scents disliked by a minority of people, in tiny niche groups? Why is there so much dislike towards the fragrances 99% of people like? it's a reel mystery
Thinking of replacing the Prada one with Philosykos. Anything worth sniffing based on my rotation?
