It really depends what style you're looking for. We don't really go for face shapes to match the glasses anymore unless it's recommended. Are you looking for frames that's as subtle as possible, I.E will be as invisible as possible? Go rimless, unless you have +/-5 prescription. Or do you want the glasses to be a little or very visible? Are you more into metal frames or acetate, with nosepads or without etc.

I've considered rimless.
So far i've been wearing black aviators (silver aviators have too much of a pedo vibe), i'm considering going again for larger aviators, but i don't have a cool hair like picrel, so the effect is not the same.
Idk if rimless would fit better with a buzzcut.

Personally I absolutely love rimless glasses. I'm considering getting a pair of Tom Ford 5934. And the great thing about rimless is that you can choose whatever shape of the lenses you want. I'd you're not into rectangle, you can go round/oval/any other shape you want.

These are my latest purchase. Rimless Lindberg Spirit Titanium with octagon shaped lenses and with a 30% blue tint.

If you want more vintage style you can go with brands like Lunor, Ducloux Les Lunettes or Savile Row.
>pic related
A pair of Lunor Classic Rund.

Those are cool. From what i've seen, there's are 2 styles of rimless :
>Silver or gold luxury (ie what you posted, or Cartier)
>NPC office drone (square shape, with black 'techno' temples)

I'd definitely go with silver/gold if i go rimless.

i think thicker frames in shell patterns are coming back

Definitely go Cartier if you got the budget. They make the absolute finest rimless frames. Also, if you like thin wire frames that are kind of like rimless, Lindberg has some great options. I got this pair of Lindberg model Morten with green acetate temples. Been thinking about giving them a pair of lenses with a slight greenish gradient tint.

Most definitely. I've also (I'm autistic and glasses are my special interest) thought about getting a pair of Oliver Peoples O'Malley in Raintree, since they are now handmade in Japan rather than Italy. (Japanese acetate is much higher quality than Italian).

My absolute dream pair of rimless glasses are a pair of Flair. In my opinion they surpass Lindberg in terms of weight and "invisibleness". However their mounting method is very unique which is why they only offer to purchase at licensed dealers.

I have the new MIJ O'Malleys in semi-matte dark mahogany and I think they are the best frame model ever made.
>>
>>18653168
Based. I had a pair of O'Malley in Semi-Matte Dark Mahogany like 5 years ago too. But again, back then made in Italy. Started seeing "milky spots" from drying after 2-3 years. Japanese acetate is aged much longer than Italian so this will most likely not happen with the Japanese made frames. Wear them in good health. It can of course be polished, but due to them being Semi-Matte it's hard to match the finish.

I recommend Matsuda.
For what it's worth, I shy away from frameless because the frameless pair I had before got broken when I went to a night club because someone bumped into me hard. That was actually the reason I got my first pair here, the thick black ones. Frameless just won't be sturdy because there is very little structure, so I won't wear it anymore. Just my two cents.
>>
I pick wire frame glasses simply because they block your vision less and don't look heavy on your face

Those chunky acetate glasses can be distracting to your vision

do you think gold metal glasses like picrel register to other people as a statement, or pass as an everyman kind of glasses? i think gold fits my face well, but i dont want the glasses to force a certain style of clothing or stand out too much. basically im looking for the platonic form 'glasses' glasses.
>>

I've been wearing this style of gold glasses since 2017, my friends said I looked like a college professor, and at first I got a lot of compliments from strangers (probably cause they were new and shiny), but after that no one ever mentioned them and I never felt like people were viewing me differently, but I guess it's kind of a hard thing to gauge
>>
>>18653069
Dude. I hate them. They're SO fucking small.
>>
>>18653846
Those glasses read as very Jewish. Unless you're black. Then pretty cool. Nothing wrong with the Jewish look, they just need a new glasses style IMO.
>>
>>18653868
What are some frames that don't look jewish, but are still classic and timeless and preferably wireframed? Getting new lenses and thinking of getting new frames

I got pic related from Warby Parker a few months ago, and had a similar pair from another company before that. I get a decent number of compliments on them, but I used to get a ton when I first got the original pair until the Jeffrey Dahmer show came out and fucked over aviators again for a few years.

Not the eminem anon, but I've been shopping for glasses and am looking for metal frames in a black/brown/gray color, something wider or round definitely. I wear a lot of cool toned sweaters/button-ups and don't really have an "out there" style so something more traditional looking. The real problem I've had while looking for glasses lately is that I'm Asian and so have a wide ass head. Any recs?
