Before my lifting, I ideally want to get my blood pumping with a short duration light cardio. Maybe just 5 or 10 min of jogging. But I havent ever done it... because I feel self conscious... the others just wont understand. They will think I gave up after such a short time. They will think I'm weak.

Lots of people do that.
When I'm doing cardio I'll spend half and hour to an hour and a half on the treadmill and 90% of the people that get onto the other treadmills when I'm there get off again within 20 minutes.
Except the giant fat cunts walking at 3km/h and staring into their phone, they usually stay a bit longer
