Does kettlebell actually build muscle? Look at this guy lol
>>
>>74605265
Probably up to a point and depends on the starting point. Depends on how heavy the kettlebells are and the routine. Of course, as stated by even Pavel, if you want to maximize strength or hypertrophy, nothing beats the barbell.
>>
>>74605633
Cables beat the barbell.
>>
>>74605265
he looks better than 99.9% of men
>>
>>74605685
Yah, and is functional as well
>>
>>74605652

>>
>>74605265

>>
>>74605918
He's camping like n00b
>>
>>74605265
Give me a rundown on this guy. Seems like kettlebell posting is increasing.
>>
>>74606548
Made kettlebells famous in the states with semi grifter company. Left when they went full grifter.
>>
>>74606548
Russian sports scientist
>>
>>74606558
So he's a grifter? Whats his training advice?>>74606562
based?
>>
>>74606648
Mostly never train to failure and train often
>>
>>74606648
He had some tendencies, but it was mostly the Dragon Door company with their Sekret Soviet Sertifikations type of nonsense. As far as I can tell he was just using the sales gimmick to get his methods across.
>>
>>74606670
kek so anti-mike mentzer
>>74606683
Have you tried any of his training methods? Seems like he has a lot of book and info to read through. Whats good?
>>
>>74605265
Have you ever seen someone big use kettlebells?
No, you haven't.
Has everyone that has ever used kettlebells looked like a twink?
Yes, they have.
>>
>>74606723
What’s your point?

always fun to see
>>
>>74606702
Nta but his rite of passage is a great single KB program. I've also hear really good things about Russian Bear (DL and press daily) but haven't run it myself
>>74606723
>doesn't post body
Like pottery
>>
>>74606856
I didn't realize kettlebells could be so big. I would actually be interesting in trying them. Its like it is essentially doing olympic lifts, but unilateral(?) and with a different center of gravity.
>>74607024
Thanks. I'll check those programs out.
>>
>>74607198
Yeah, KBs shine when you use them for high volume Olympic lifts. If you're just gonna use them as DB replacements they're just worse versions
>>
>>74607198
It's not always unilateral. Plenty of double bell movements, but if iirc most of Pavel's building routines start single.
>>
>>74607225
I'll admit, I may have had the prejudice in considering them as a something to dumbbells instead of as a unique implement that requires something something
>>74607251
I can see that. If you only use one arm and you want a clean and jerk, using a single kettle, the weight will either be to light for the clean or too heavy for the jerk.

Lads, thank you for answering my questions, but I think my brain just fried. I'm gonna log off and get something to eat and find something to do. Cheers.
>>
>>74607302
Swing, Clean, Jerk and Carry, those are the best movements you can do with a Bell better than a barbell.
>>

>I didn't realize kettlebells could be so big. I would actually be interesting in trying them. Its like it is essentially doing olympic lifts, but unilateral(?) and with a different center of gravity.
yes, which is why it is safer to do for repetitions. The big issue with CrossFit is doing things like snatches for high reps - if your form is not perfect or if you have an impingement or hooked acromion it can be troublesome. With a kettlebell (or dumbbell, or centermass bell, or sandbag, or slam ball, or ...) the O-movements become safer to do in higher volumes. The heaviest kettlebell I've ever touched was 203lb (three good swings, and two really sloppy ones because I wanted to make five), but I know they go up to 220lb/100kg.
>>
>>74605265
it builds muscle to a certain point but you won't get as big as you want, I think
It builds a LOT of endurance though
>>
>>74606723
I use kettlebells and mog you
>>
>>74605265
he just looks like a fatty natty
>>
>>74606803
That you should do kettlebells if you're heterosexual I guess.
>>
>>74605265
>look at this guy
He looks like a healthy male his age.
>>
>>74606562
He is shit at sport science. For example hin Joe Rogan podcast he reffered to le russian sport scientist Seluyanov who is well known charlatain in Russia and was debunked million times
>>
>>74605265
This guy only does kb. Most kb fags here aren't doing kbomg though, his workout are not Pavel's minimalist dad bod shit
>>
Another for you. What you want is possible
>>
>>74609296
That looks awful. Not really a ringing endorsement
>>
>>74609296
I swear every guy who looks jacked while trains with kettlebells had 10+ years of barbell training before, including this guy in pic. I always LMAO when people put Levi Markwardt as example of big kettlebell guy forgetting he was a gymrat before kettlebells and bench pressed something like 180 kg.
