It's the opposite for me. I was invisible being skinnyfat but when I started lifting, I get the stink eye from people at my local Viet church that I was compensating for my height (5"7"). I'm convinced my fiancé is sabotaging my gains by gaslighting me to eat more but gets dumbfounded on why I don't look like a big pile of tard despite eating the same amount of calories as her.
